How did you cope with having bad parents?
I m asking this question to see who else has a bad mother and or father and how you cope/ or have coped? My parents are not the best. My mother is a very negative, immature person and my dad is very manipulative and weird. I live with my dad and everyday he gives me anxiety and depression. He has said that I am going to fail school and become a bum and abuse welfare. I can t feel comfortable in my own home. Whenever something happens, he blames it on me, half jokingly, but mostly means it. He is an alcoholic, he drinks everyday, but doesn t get drunk. He has a high tolerance, but before he would be drunk when I was 8 years old and to this day whenever he drinks I feel uncomfortable. I just want to move out, (I m 16) and get the as far as I can away from him and my mom. (they are divorces, but I live with my dad, had to choose the lesser of the two evils). Anyways, who else is experiencing bad parents?
3 AnswersFamily6 years agoShould I get obtain my GED, then go to community college?
I have been having trouble with my depression and anxiety for the past three years. It has affected my school work, mood, and attitude. I am 16 years old and have been contemplating obtaining my GED and going to community college. Now one might ask, "If you do not have the ambition to finish high school, what makes you think that you will be able to take CC course?" You might perceive this as boasting, but many people have said I am very mature for my age, and I believe I am. My classes, are filled with immature students, that the teacher cannot control. Yes, I am aware that there are immature people everywhere, especially in CC. I just feel that there are more efficient teachers, mature peers, and less bull****. You are paying for it after all. I live in VA. What do you think? I might add, I do not mind missing out on parties and prom. I have no care for those, plus I am an introvert and don't have much friends and I am fine with that.
2 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education6 years agoHow to deal with horrible parents?
Hello, I am 16 years old and not doing so well. My parents are divorced, they divorced when I was 4 I think. I do not remember any of it, but I do remember what happened later on. My mom is very immature, never willing to change, and is very, very negative. My dad had a bad childhood, he is or was, an alcoholic, still drinks every day. Anyways, when I was 8 he replaced my sisters ADHD medications with some herb, or susbtance and my sister found out her medicine was not working and wanted to go with my mom to CVS. I wanted to go to, my dad got very mad. My sister and I ran out crying,
(She was 16 at the time) to my moms car. My brother got out of the car and banged on the door, yelling, this is why your kids dont love you. We leave to go back to my moms, my dad follows us, when we park at the house, my dad pulls up behind. Sorry for the grammatical errors, i am very upset. He gets out, calls my mom the cword and wanted to fight my brother by pushing him. He leaves and my mom calls the cops. He wasted my brother and sisters college fund $14,000 all together. Years later around ten years old My mom and I move around for 6 years and finally settling back where we were orginally. She moved in and got back together with her ex boyfriend. He was an idiot before and still is. He drinks alot like my dad. One night he got drunk and started arguing with my mom and this happened 2 times. I moved out, moved back in with my dad. Today we had an argument, yahoo wont let me type more.

3 AnswersFamily8 years agoMy mom grounded me for the whole school year?
Hello, I'm just turned 15 four weeks ago and yesterday my mom took my phone away (I could care less I don't even use it really, just for friends to keep in contact with) and she ground me for the whole school year and won't let me go outside. The day before my PSAT (I'm a freshman) my brother and I watched a movie before I went to bed and I went to bed around 10:30 pm and woke up at 5:50. I usually get up at 5:00 because my bus comes at 6:35 and school starts around 7:20. I got up a late because all I had to do was eat and get dressed. My mom came into my room in the morning and starts cussing at me and getting upset. She said I'm going to be, "flipping burgers at McDonalds" and she takes my phone away and says, "You are not going outside for the rest of year." I have all A's and B's. I go outside to skateboard because it's my passion and It relieves a lot stress. What should I do? I'm sick of the public education system. We were just made to memorize information for a test and get a job. I don't like my lifestyle at all. Waking up, going to school, and too tired to do anything at home or workout. Any advice? I feel like committing suicide because she is always mad at me and all about my grades too much. I feel really depressed and just want to die. I can't take it anymore.
6 AnswersFamily8 years agoI'm a fighter, not a lover?
I'm in high school and I'm social with people. I talk to some girls. Thing though is I have never had a girlfriend and I want one, but I could care less. I always treats girls with respect and I'm always nice and considerate. I'm little on the serious side. I'm very observant of my surroundings. I have this attitude where I don't care if someone is bigger, stronger, faster or smarter if they mess with me or my friends or loved ones I will take them down no matter what. Is this bad? I feel like a protector.

1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoI can't take school anymore?
I'm 14 years old and just begun high school. I love the social aspect, but not the I guess you would say educational aspect. I love to learn. I have a passion for philosophy and history. I feel like I'm wasting time. 36 months, 7 hours a day just to earn a piece of paper that says I graduated. I'm starting to not care. I have many interests to pursue. See school gives you no freedom to do anything. 18 years of our life to sit and not go out and explore the beautiful world. I want to acquire knowledge and become more intelligent. Were humans made to do this? What happen to people being self-sufficient. Having your own farm, growing your food, and reading books. I can't sit without putting my head down all the time. I know I am very, very young, but I just feel like traveling all over. I don't want to be the every day person dumb and ignorant.
2 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education8 years agoStruggling in German class?
Hallo, Ich bin im neuten klasse und ich bin vierzehn jahre alt. This year I take German 3. I love German alot problem is im behind in my class. First year of German I was nervous, but then I started getting involved and I had the best german teacher. She left for China to teach English. German 2 I had the worst teacher. He would say," Im just doing what the county tells me to do." It was 100% repetitive and it was just complete memorization like history no thinking involved. I retained some stuff. This year hit me. Im the only freshman in my class. People seem to know more. I feel really sad. I have been trying to catch up but I dont know what to do. Any suggestions? Danke schon!!!

2 AnswersWrestling8 years agoHow long should Plyometric Sessions last?
I'm very confused on how long they should last? I do 9 exercises but split them into 3 groups and so 1,2,3, rest, 4,5,6, rest 7,8,9, rest then repeat. They are 30sec long each. and its 9 min long but 430 min if i dont repeat the whole thing.
1 AnswerRunning8 years agoMartial arts schools making fun of other martial arts?
In muay Thai our kru was differentiating a tae kwon do/ kung fu stance. Then he kinda chuckled about the tae kwon do stance hinting it was useless. He said, " I was a black belt and kru Douglas knocked me flat." I almost interrupted and said, " its not the art just the practitioner.'' I didn't say though. Have your masters ever made fun of other "styles"? Instead of objectively differentiating the stances he kinda made fun of the stance. What do you think?
7 AnswersMartial Arts8 years agoTips for a Freshman Wrestler?
Hey guys. I'm 14 going into 9th grade and I'm trying out for wrestling. I did a little muay thai, but I mainly want to focus on my ground game because I suck really bad haha. I have no experience with grappling at all really. WIll I learn the basics and stuff? My school is a Triple A division. 2300 kids in my whole school. 575 kids in my grade. I can do 20 pull ups and 30 pushups. Max bench is 115. I weigh 135 but the thing is that Im lengthy and skinny and very flexible. Should I bulk or cut? I wanted to bulk, but my mom wont take me to the gym. I'm also 5'10. Thanks guys.... I'm nervous as hell since I live in a very very competitive area. I'm worried that I WILL SUCK!!
1 AnswerWrestling8 years agoVery practical and effective striking martial art?
I'm 14 and I've been in and out of a few MA schools. I did muay thai for 8 months I did like it, but they focused to much on competition and I'm not a "fighter". I was thinking about taking up wing chun and I have done research. Alot people rant on it for not being effective and practical. I want to take a martial art where they utilize the vertical fist alot. I know the horizontal has more power but lacks speed in a way. All the dojos are fake around me and trust me I checked them out in the northern virginia area. Any recommendations??
9 AnswersMartial Arts8 years agoWhat is up with the generation of kids taking MA today?
This generation now of kids 8-15 around that age area are lacking respect for the arts. Well at least the way I see it. I've seen kids just join so they can show off and say,"I do MMA!!!". Im 14 and I take it very seriously and also in class. I always show respect for my masters and respect and kindness with the other students. Some students are just all about themselves and their ego. I am always willing to help out with someone. Am I wrong for doing this or not? what do you think
3 AnswersMartial Arts8 years agoI really want to take Wing Chun, but?
I'm 14 years old and I have a huge interest in martial arts. I have been quitting and joining schools 3 times already. I did muay thai, karate, and jow ga shaolin kung fu. They were bad schools and showed favoritism. I have read alot about wing chun and after watching ip man haha it really inspired me to take up wing chun. I though to myself how effective it was and beautiful. I check out this place. Here is the link. i met the sifu and he is of older age. He wasn't very enthusiastic. I don't know maybe its me not giving him a chance. My mom though won't sign me up anymore after the last school screwed us over with a contract. I'm willing to sell my laptop and xbox for cash to sign up. What should I do??? My brother like me is a big fan of MA and he wants me to do it. He is coming home from another country in a week. I don't know what to do?!! I'm sad about it....
3 AnswersMartial Arts8 years agoShould I still continue martial arts?
I'm 14 years old and quit martial arts. Let me tell you from the beginning. When I was 7 I wanted to do karate after seeing the karate kid (haha). Interest grew in me. My mom signed me up, but I stuck with it only a month because my dad wanted to me quit I didnt want to, but i was little and my dad would manipulate me all the time and things were bad between my parents. So I quit. Then 4 years later I tried kung fu. That i didn't really like cause in my school I was alone. All the students were mean and always looked at me since I was a beginner. My sifu had me doing these forms I didn't know how to do. So, I did 3 months of that. The assisstant intstructor was awesome very humble and nice man. Kiyoshi was his name. so 2 years later I did muay thai. I joined disciple mma. Dustin Pague ufc fighter owned it. He was awesome very very cool guy. I didnt know what i got myself into because it was of course all for sport. When it comes to martial arts i dont like to compete. I just keep it to myself. anyway I did for 8 months they locked my mom in a contract. my kru got mad at me for bleeding while sparring and didnt apologize. my coaches wanted me fighting when i was no where near halfway on my basics. these kids who did it less than i did got into the advanced class. i didnt. so i quit. i dont know if its me or not. i think everyday do i want to do it or not. I wish i had a master who i could talk to because im very deep into martial arts alot!!
