Ok so I'm looking at a 96 Legacy, It's pretty clean cosmetically, but when I went to check the Oil there was like a drop on the end of the dipstick. Its a auto, has about 140k miles. It still runs ok just kinda scary seeing oil levels like that.

Is this legacy even worth looking at?

Can these engines handle running with low oil?

How much would you pay for it?

Im trying to decide on my next car, my only real requirement is its a manual, but what im wanting to know here is about Volkswagen's the older ones like 60's-Late 80's specifically for the Volkswagen Cabrio, Rabbit, and Beetle. I like the design of all these cars. but how reliable are Volkswagen's? are there any common problems with them that are serious? how hard will it be to find one of these years? and Whats the average price for a needs to be restored Volkswagen?

I left all 4 of our lawnmowers out in the rain on accident for like 5 minutes, was it long enough to do any harm? I had just got done changing the oil, cleaning and oiling the air filters, etc. on all of the mowers, and this happens.
