chocolate eggs or doughnuts?
http://www.themercury.com.au/article/2010/04/04/13...
FTA
"The Anglican Dean of Hobart, Richard Humphrey, said he preferred the idea of the Easter doughnut over the traditional Easter egg.
"Eggs don't really have anything to do with Easter but you can attach some rich symbolism to a doughnut," he said.
"They're round like the stone that was rolled away from Jesus's tomb, the tomb was empty, just like the hole in the doughnut, they're shaped like a halo and the circle represents eternal life.""
Sounds like a good deal to me... but make mine one with chocolate sprinkles :-)
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWorlds most prominent skeptic, James Randi, comes out as gay - good for the community or not?
Now Obviously this was a personal decision for Mr Randi and I do not wish to put down the courage he has, or the thought that went into making this announcement.
However on a wider scale, Mr Randi is a skeptic and an atheist and is very vocal about those aspects of his life. This seems like a slam-dunk for the homophobic religious types to associate being gay with rejecting god.
Your thoughts please
12 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoare there any gay / lesbian clubs, or bars in NORWICH, Norfolk, UK?

9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat is the most amusing LGBT stereotype you have heard?
I was talking with a colleague about the Hobart to Sydney Yacht race, and a guy colleague innocently said "I didnt know gay people were interested in sailing"
(obviously not thinking about a thousand years of navy stereotypes :-)
8 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoAs an adult LGBT, what is one piece of good advice you would like to give to a young LGBT?
We see so many questions from young people in this section and quite often they are the same few subjects.
If you could pass on one piece of advice to all the young people who realise they are LGBT, what would it be.
17 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoGoing back to church, as a Lesbian in a committed relationship?
I went to church this morning and have to say I really enjoyed the experience. It was a family affair with Ma and Pa, we went home and had sunday lunch and everything was really nice.
I initially went away from the church because I felt it really conflicted with my lifestyle, but I think I have now come to accept that Jesus loves me, even if many of his followers are homophobic bigots.
Now I need to find a congregation in London that will accept me totally as the person I am.
can anyone suggest a congregation of group, or where to find one
{I am not interested in homophobic flamers.... Jesus said NOT ONE WORD against homosexuality, but he said plenty against Divorce... If you want to go and harass someone, go and flame a divorcee}
11 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agodo you get a little annoyed when you have given a *really great* answer and the question gets deleted?
sometime I have spent 10 minutes writing down a fantastic answer, succinct informative and with bells and whistles
and then I go to post it and the question has already been deleted
or, you go back the next day to look at all the other points of view, and there it is... Gone
This most often seems to happen to me in LGBT... sometimes when the question is from an obvious homophobe
when that happens, though, dont you think it is better to show one persons stupid question followed by a lot of intelligent well placed replies, rather than to just hit the 'report' button
10 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agobi girls and lesbians. where did you/ would you meet your partner?

7 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoWhat is a cone? (possibly sexual context)?
I think I know quite a lot about sex, but this one threw me.
I thought she was talking about another name for her clitoris, but it is more like some sort of thing you could buy or get given?
and if you put 'cone' into google you get a million hits to maths and geometry websites :-)

10 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoAquestion on testing for marijuana use and second-hand smoking?
Firstly. I DO NOT Smoke marijuana
Secondly. I DO NOT SMOKE MARIJUANA
so, all you holier-than-thou moronic answerers who cant offer anything constructive except to say how awful pot is... just go away.
OK. So,
I hear that one of the companies I work with is bringing in drug testing. I dont know what form that will take
I do not use pot, and have never used it. In fact i dont even smoke cigarettes
but
I go to an underground music club, almost every saturday night, and pot is always used there. I often come out reeking of the stuff, and everything I wear has to go straight in the wash hamper.
I must be taking in massive amounts of second hand smoke, even though it has never affected me, or made me feel high, or anything.
would that level of exposure be enough to trigger a drug test?
would the testers be able to differentiate between a 'user' and someone who is accidentally exposed to a light amount?

13 AnswersFriends1 decade agogirls: what do you think about transvestites. have you ever been in a relationship with one?
i met a guy dressed up in and he was really nice. he talked to me like a girlfriend, asking about my hair and clothes.
we only chatted for about 20 mins, but he was really nice... made me think it would be nice to be with a guy who could actually talk and wasnt just after a shag.
