So, if I have an Xbox One and CoD Ghosts, for example, and my friend has Cod Ghosts on the 360, can we play together? Or would I need to wait for him to get an Xbox One too?

Also, is it possible to chat to people in an Xbox Live Party if they are on the 360 and I am on the One? Thanks :)

Hiya, I'm not really a computer-smart person so if someone could please help me with this, I'd be very grateful. I'm moving into university halls next week and I can't find out how to set up my Xbox.

I would like to set it up to Xbox Live in the UEA halls (Nelson Court) this September. I've heard that I might need to register the MAC address with the IT desk to connect and that's fine, but setting it up sounds confusing to me.

I have one Ethernet port in the room and only one ethernet port on my laptop. I think it's wired connection only, not wireless, and I'm not allowed to set up a wireless connection or a router in the room. I've heard that you can't just plug your Xbox into the Ethernet port in which case I would need to run it through my laptop. If it's wired internet to the room only, I would need to connect my laptop through the Ethernet port in the room, taking up my only Ethernet port on my laptop. So what cable do I use to then connect the laptop to the Xbox? I hope this is making some sort of sense! Is there a specific lead I'd need, since the Ethernet port would already be in use?

If someone can give me steps to connect my Xbox to Live through my laptop without using a router, wireless or an Ethernet cable (as it will already be in use) please let me know, as I'm getting desperate now and nobody seems to be able to help.

As I said, I'm not really that great with computer talk and so on, so if anyone could make this as simple as possible, I'd be so grateful. I'd also like to make it clear that I'm asking for help setting this up; I don't need comments like "You don't need an Xbox at university, you should be studying."

I don't know if anyone can help with this, but it's driving me mad so I thought I'd ask.

I'm trying to think of the film where this little dialogue takes place.

There is a man who goes outside or somewhere during some dangerous situation, possibly an attack? Tells a younger person, most likely a child/teenager, to stay in something... either the house, or the room, or the car... I really don't remember. He goes off and the kid ventures out and is put in danger. The man comes back and saves him and says, "I told you to stay in the ______!" And the kid goes "I'm sorry!!" and hugs him.

Some of this might be slightly off, but I know it's from a film I've seen and it's driving me absolutely crazy not being able to remember. Can anyone take a stab at it from what I've told you? Ta muchly.

I've discovered that a lot of people use Wattpad to upload their stories and so on. As someone who wishes to be published, I was curious. One question still crops up for me though.

What stops people from plagiarising your writing? There's no way to stop a copy and paste steal, as far as I'm aware. If the stuff I'm posting is something I eventually want published, is there no way to stop plagiarism?

A huge issue I'm having regarding research is where to base them. Can anyone tell me of a base in England only, where troops might be stationed? Preferably, I'd like them to be near a lot of nature/less populated areas. There's a lot of greenery around Thetford forest sort of area on Google maps, but I don't know if there's a soldier type base there....?

If there isn't anything like this in England, perhaps someone could tell me a good one for America, and I'll try basing it there, instead. Like I said, anyway near nature/forests/no towns is preferable. Thanks muchly!

I'm writing a story that revolves around my main character, Sam. I want him to be in the British Army (I was going to set it in America but I'd have no clue where to start for that).

Can someone tell me what would be the best rank for him? I want him to not be based at the base... as in, he would have to go out and fight, but be in charge of a group. Similar to what Rico becomes in Starship Troopers. I'm unsure as to what rank that is. I didn't want to put him so high up that he doesn't actually do any fighting and so on, but he needs the authority of leading the group.

I'm completing an extended essay, identifying elements of Norse Mythology in the 2011 film 'Thor'. So far I've basically said things like "In the film Yggrdrasil is described as..... and in the Prose Edda it is described as..."

So I just wanted to ask people for what they've noticed is accurate or inaccurate Norse Mythology references (if it's wrong or the film changed it, that's cool too). I'm also interested in any experts or pages on the web that might talk about Norse mythology and its use in media or relevance, and so on. Any interpretations on the mythology and so on or anything that might be useful. If anyone has anything like this, please let me know as I would like to know I haven't missed anything so far! :) Thanks.

Hiya, sorry to bother everyone but I'm having some real trouble, and I was wondering if i could get some input.

I'm writing a college research paper (4000 words) and I'm set on writing about Norse mythology. Technically, I'd like to relate it to Loki, God of Mischief.

I need a title, either a question or statement and it has to be something I can answer. I was going to have something about how Loki has been correctly or incorrectly represented in the 2011 movie, 'Thor', but I'm really more interested in the true mythology and old stories in the Prose Edda, than new media.

I've research the stories before and again over the last few weeks and I'm having so much trouble finding a good title that will get me started!

If you have the time, would you mind throwing a bunch of ideas at me? I know a lot of stories about Loki and the other Aesir Gods, as I said, but it's finding a question to answer and conclude about that I'm having trouble with. Thanks so much in advance!

I've just bought Microsoft Office Pro 2010 from Software4Students, and downloaded it. I was emailed the Product Activation Key and when the download was finished, I entered the key. It worked absolutely fine, and I was able to type on Word and Powerpoint etc. I know this is true because my trial on my laptop has run out - if I'm typing on Word, it must be the new product.

So, I was all good yesterday when I downloaded it. Turn on my laptop this morning, and it comes up again:

Your trial has expired, please purchase the product. I click on the button saying that I already have the product, I'll enter the key. Again. But now the key is invalid and it won't accept it. I'm guessing it detects it has already been used, and it has... by me. Yesterday. I looked on the support site for Microsoft but it's all about if you type it wrong (I pasted from the email) and if it never worked (it did the first time).

I'm completely at a loss. I can't use any of my Office products, and i could yesterday! Please, does anyone have any idea as to how to fix this? I'm really not a computer whizz or anything, so I don't know what to do.

I had my lip pierced about 3 months ago, a ring to the side. I cleaned it twice a day with salt water and Q-tips, and kept it clean. It still got infected, and now there is a large yellow lump pushing against my lower teeth which is very painful. I saw the doctor who gave me antibiotics, and after finishing them correctly and keeping it clean, it's still just as bad. Yes, I clean my hands before touching it, and no, I'm not going to take it out because my lip might fall off O.o

I was tempted to just take it out, but heard the infection could get trapped under the skin. Is there anything I could do to help it heal that I'm not doing? And how long do these infections last for if treated properly? The infection has been there for about a week so far. Thank you!

This year I'm interested in taking part in NaNoWriMo. The story I'm actually planning is something I'd like to work on and get published afterwards, so I'm aiming for more than 50,000.

I'm very worried about plagiarism though. Obviously, wanting my story to become a book means I want to keep my plot mine and not have it stolen. I've heard you put the story though a 'word-count checker' as proof you've done it. Is there any chance of plagiarism or stolen work occuring, or has it before? I apologize in advance for the long post, and to those I've hurt who may be reading this now. I'm not looking for homophobic comments, just answers.

When I was about 15 or 16, I started to develop feelings for guys. But only gay guys. I found watching gay guys kiss was arousing, and love stories were only truly romantic if it was two guys with a happy ending. I spent a lot of time on a gay forum website. For reasons I cannot remember having at that time, I joined under a false name, Justin. It was innocent at first. I posted a few things, and became known to another gay teen in my area. After chatting for months on end, my lies about myself grew and grew. I wrote as Justin, a 16 year old teen with problems at home. eventually, he wanted my number and I was thrilled. I told him my parents wouldn't let me get a phone but if he needed anything he could called my female cousin (me). I spoke with him on the phone about Justin, and was so happy to be in a gay relationship. I couldn't think of anything else, or how it would end. He wanted to meet Justin. I had a friend at the time who I was in a semi-serious relationship with, and I told him everything and convinced him to be Justin. We both went, myself as the cousin, to meet him as he was local to the area. My boyfriend and Justin's boyfriend really hit it off, and I felt it was a good day.

Eventually, we broke it off, but he didn't know I was a girl. I surfed the forum again until I met another guy, who was 18 or so. Justin became involved with him but he lived further away. He really did have problems at home, and I said the dreaded words: "Come live with me." I don't know why. I was stupid. I arranged things with him on the phone, and online as Justin we even spoke of marriage. One day on the phone, he questioned why if I spent so much time with Justin, why I couldn't han the phone over. After over a year of being Justin, and over 4 months or so of leading on this amazing guy, he asked me. Was Justin real? And I told the truth. No, but I wish he was. We spoke for a long time about my issues and I felt like I was torn apart. He told the other ex, who threatened to track me down and kill me. I deserved it I guess, I won't lie. But I knew I needed to be a guy. Not just a guy, a gay guy. It wasn't the same as dating a guy as a woman. Five years on, this is the first I've told anyone of Justin, except my doctor when I asked for a sex change. He told me I would grow out of it and it was hormones. The second guy has, years on, asked me to pretend to be Justin again. I know in some ways, I've ruined his life, and he won't move on. I don't talk to him anymore.

Sorry for the long back-story. I'm not looking for anger or hate, I gave myself enough of it. After using Google, I can't find other girls who seriously have an unhealthy obsession with being a gay guy. After five years, I believe it isn't a phase. Since the doctor was no good, does anyone have any advice on what to do or what's going on? My obsession with gay guys has hurt people and I'm really sorry. It's time for me to tell people what I really want.
