I'm a jazz guitarist and would love to improve my ability to read music on the fly.

I'm pretty self-conscious about how I look from the side view. I feel that I look abnormal because it looks like my upper lip sticks out and my chin is far back, even though my bite is fine. I wish to achieve a side view that is straight from my forehead to chin.

I'm currently in my tenth month of orthodontic treatment with standard metal braces. I've become more aware of my profile the last few months and have been very dissatisfied with my appearance from this view. My upper and lower lips protrude enough that I'm unhappy with my look. I have high cheek bones, slim face. The fact that my mouth protrudes makes my face look sunken in as well.

I've done plenty of research and have come across terms such as bi-maxillary protrusion which seems to describe my case. In order to bring the lips into a better position, 4 bicuspids must be removed. Only then will the convexity of my profile become straight and bring my face into greater balance.

I'm calling my orthodontist tomorrow to schedule a consultation where I can bring up my concerns.

Please let me know if I'm on the right track or if there are perhaps other alternatives other than extractions to achieve lip retraction.

I just turned 19 and have been looking into orthognathics (right now I have braces on). I feel that I can look better by making my convex profile appear more straight/balanced. Is it possible for this to be achieved? (Part of the reason why my convex profile looks the way it does is that the upper part of my nose has a dip meeting the forehead and my upper lip sticks out quite a bit).. so it looks like my midface protrudes.. I messed around with photoshop to see an improved aesthetic result. By augmenting my nose's bridge and setting back my upper lip I saw an enormous improvement)..

It was working a few days earlier. Now it won;t turn on

I have successfully intonated every string on my american strat except the low E. For some reason the saddle wont move inwards to shorten the string length.. the screw starts to come off the trem bridge. hence when fretted at the 12th fret it sounds 20 cents flat compared to when played open. Can someone please give me some advice other than bringing it in to have it checked out? Thanks in advance :D

I'm trying to get onto this social networking site: untz.ca. It always shows up blank on every computer in my house (mac/pc). I even tried accessing it using another access point and still no success. Could there be an issue with the site?

Since HGH levels spike, is there opportunity for bone development in the lower jaw?

I met a girl a few days ago in a class at York U. We talked for about 10 minutes in total before the end of class. As we got up and were leaving she asked what my phone number was (before I could ask). I was caught a little off guard, not suspecting that at all. I gave her my number, but didn't give her mine (oops!). She texted me the following day and I responded in a half hour. I'd say it's been 9 hours since receiving a text from her. What da faaaadge?

I recently bought a custom vibrolux reverb amplifier and I noticed that when I play some notes through the amp on the more than one guitar, I get this persistent chime vibration coming from behind the amp, so the guitar isn't the issue. It sounded like a bell on Santa's sleigh, as that's what it reminds me of. Also, maybe this was stupid, but when I picked up the amp to move it away from everything else in the room (for better ventilation), I got this abrupt sound like a china symbol when it is smashed. Can someone with a lot of tube maintenance experience give me a heads up on this because I will be returning the amp and just continue to do more research?

Which is preferred for that jazz tone?

I just came home from a night class and as I was waiting at the front porch of my house to be let in, I could see turquoise blotches in the night sky? I have never seen this before (except on canvas ;) ). Can anyone explain this without providing ignorant remarks?

I recently bought this bridge from WD Music and I want to install it on my epiphone 175 guitar.

I love the sound and feel of both classical and jazz guitars.

I've been playing flute for a few years, and play in the school band. I got a new flute recently and it has an amazing tone. Sometimes, however, it does not sound as good. I play it one day and it sounds great! Then another and.... (no comment). Sometimes, my onset on F (5th line) is unfocused/cracks. I know that my flute has no air leaks because I maintain it regularly (It's my baby). I am starting to think that I close my throat when I tongue the note, or any other note for that matter. Can some experienced flautist enlighten me with precious knowledge? I am self-taught.

I've been in a relationship with my girlfriend for over seven months. Recently, I've become celibate because I realized that I can't be serious with a partner at this age (I'm 17). We've gone to third base, but never made a home run! In a way I regret engaging ourselves sexually. There is that sense of emotional attachment.

I've met her family and have gotten to know them pretty well. They are all GREAT people! However, it's just that I'll be going to university next year and she'll be in grade 12. Life is going to change a lot once I'm there. I'm double majoring in math and music and I probably won't have time to see her.... I love this girl, but I think it's time for us to part. I don't want us to disconnect completely. How can we be really good friends?
