I found a lump of freshly chewed gum stuck to my leather handbag (Why are people so disgusting?). I've managed to get most of it off using a piece of paper, but what do I do about the remainder? I don't want to put it in the freezer in case it damages the leather.

I filled it with tap water and now need to know how to remove the brown rough coating that has developed on the sole plate. Help! What is demineralised water, which is what the instruction booklet told me to use?.( I didn't read the instructions until it was too late).

If someone were to refuse treatment for gastric cancer (total gastrectomy) because of other life circumstances, what is an average life expectancy? This is an elderly person, with an otherwise comfortable lifestyle.Diagnosis notes the presence of lymphoma and early adenocarcinoma. Any body know the answer or where to find it? This was given to me in November. I live on chalky soil (Kent), so I can't put it outside, I've kept it alive with treated tap water, but it now looks miserable.Should I throw it away or can it survive in it's pot, with treatment?

There are so many deleterious comments using the word Dutch, in English.e.g. Dutch courage, Dutch comfort etc. I read that the Dutch government insists that their ambassadors only use The Netherlands as their country's name but Dutch is not the country's name!

Water supply is direct from mains. I live in a small block of flats, on the 2nd floor. Sometimes the pressure decreases in mid run, then increases again, (this can happen at any time).If I increase the temperature the pressure drops even more. I think the installation is probably about 20 years old. Should I replace it all or is there something I can do to improve it ?It's a Triton Ivory II.
