11 AnswersPregnancy9 years agohow do you sprout an avocado seed in water?
I can't remember how to start a plant from an avocado seed, do I dry the seed first or put it directly in water? Also, which end goes in the water and do I need to add a fertilizer in the water, what stage? I had a beautiful plant decades ago and had it just touching the water with toothpicks, this is my preferred method vs dirt.
Thanks
3 AnswersGarden & Landscape9 years agoAny good suggestions on how to make Condo Assoc accountable for excessive spending?
Other than get a Lawyer (can't afford it) any suggestions about how to handle it on my own? My Mother lives in a senior community and she cant afford the maintenance fees and mortgage together as the Board of Directors are charging 16 Maintenance Fees this year and we should only have to pay once per month. The people spending our money don't know what they are doing or how to Budget they just spend. Nobody wants to be on the Board of Directors including the current Director, yet she does not want to give it up (my guess she needs to be in control). The rules are constantly changing to suit the needs of whomever is in her current favor. When I ask questions I am "being a *itch" or "is not my business," others have been told its to build up our Reserve Account. We have been paying 3 extra maint. fees per year for the last 3 years and this year its four. I am told that due to vacant apts. being bank owned and the Banks won't pay the maint. fee, the owner occupied are paying the difference. Shouldn't this be taken off the top when the unit is sold and put that back in our Reserves and how about crediting the current owners, or paying them for paying their bills.
Another question is we have been fixing the pipes in the building and due to a leak upstairs I am told we have to pay for our own drywall to be fixed, however when the lady down the hall had water damage, supposedly the drywall was fixed from the Associations bank account? How do I get the financial records without causing a big problem for my mother?
I apologize for the rambling, I have been holding this in for too long I can't even think straight because I am so angry.
3 AnswersRenting & Real Estate9 years agoTankless water heaters, point of use vs whole house, I live in small condo, which do I need?
I want to replace my water heater and need to know the difference between a "Point of Use" vs "Whole House". The water heater I have now is compact in size, possibly 30 gallon tank, the dimensions are about 30" tall x 22" diameter. I have a small condominium and the location of the tank is situated between the kitchen and bathroom. From the tank to the kitchen faucet is approx. 12 feet, and 14 feet from tank to bath tub bathroom sink is "butted" up to the closet water tank is in so that is less than 4 feet.
I live in South Florida, Second floor of a condo so the water temp (when first turned on) has never been real cold. (like up it is up in the North.)
Someone has offered me an "American ADK-1" tank-less water heater but I need to be sure this will suffice as the installation will cost more than the appliance.
Thank you
