I've recently been diagnosed with SAD and would like to try light therapy vs medications. SAD lamps are a little steep in price so I'm wondering if I could get away with buying a "special bulb" inside a regular lamp instead? Or are these not as effective as the whole lamp set-up? I'm trying to write a function that would tell me all of the cells in a certain range that contain the letters "ABC" (for example). I'm trying to analyze some codes for work and it would help immensely if I could create a calculation for this (the "ABC" is contained inside of other codes seperated by commas). Anyone know how?? My nails are short and brittle (yada yada yada). I had gotten acrylic tips a few years ago but HATED what they did to my nails! And I just felt they looked cheap. At any rate, what I would like is to have gel put on my natural nails but NOT have tips added. Do salons do that? Has anyone out there had that done? Did you like the result? Thanks!!

I bought a pair of the Wave Inspire 3's a couple years ago and LOVE them! I cant say enough about them! Sadly the 3's dont really exist anymore so my new shoes need to be an upgraded version. My worry is that they've changed the design and that if I order them online, they really wont be the same fit. Has anyone else out there fallen madly in love with the Mizuno Wave Inspire series and could let me know if the later models are similar to the 3?

I have an FHA loan and would like to refinance. I am confused as to how much I am refinancing for. Over the past 3 years, I have paid approximately $55,000 in monthly mortgage payments. I know some of this goes to various insurances, escrow, ground rent (live in the city) etc, but wouldn't I be refinancing for less than my original loan balance?

My drivers side window has been going up and down increasingly slowly the last few months and finally yesterday the switch died with the window all the way down. I took the car to a local shop this morning to have them at least just get the window back up and tell me whether it was the motor or the switch that was the issue. They said the switch was dead but it would cost me $200+ to fix it so I told them I would have to wait on the fix and just pay them for the labor to get the window back up. Everyones fine with that - I pick my car up, pay and head to work. I now noticed that the power lock on the drivers side is dead along with the switch for the drivers window. Are the 2 connected or did the mechanic mess with the power lock to get me to come back and pay them to fix stuff? I had an issue with this same shop several months ago when I had them change my oil and all of the sudden, on the exact same day that I picked my car up, my daytime running lights stopped working. What a coincidence! Please help - thanks :)

Is there a way for me to use a scanner to scan a text document onto my computer into a word processor (hopefully MS Word) and then be able to treat it as a document? By that I mean it would not be a picture but actual text that I can edit?

This is a weird question/observation. Has anyone experienced that when eating LOTS of protein/drinking protein drinks that it makes someone smell funny? Just kind of sour and.....unacceptable? I've noticed this about a roommate and don't know how to handle it. I'm more asking if people have noticed this for them self or someone they live with rather than how to handle the problem.

Problem: Dog pee'd on boyfriends reloading dies. Naturally, he's panicking b/c he didn't notice for a while and now there is corrosion present. Is there any way to clean this?! I know the dies are EXTREMELY specific so methods that could remove material (steel wool??) might not be an option but it would be nice if he didn't have to spend a couple hundred dollars replacing the dies......HELP!! Is there something he could soak the dies in to break up the corrosion?

My mustang day lilies have holes in their leaves. Anyone know what could be doing that and how to get rid of the pests? I have seen tiny black ants munching my hosta's but didn't see ants near the day lilies. HELP! Don't know if this matters but I'm in zone 7.
