Calphalon pans - worth the hype?

I'm in the market for new pans. I cook a lot and appreciate well made items. Are Calphalon pans all they're cracked up to be? Please tell me about your experiences with them - thanks!

I won't use anything but Calphalon products in the kitchen if at all possible. Everything I use is made by them. I am the designated cook at our fire station, so I cook a LOT and these pans can take everything I throw at them. I give them a 10 out of 10!

I personally don't like them. I got a set as a wedding gift 15 years ago. Two of them died pretty quickly, one somehow got serious permanent water stains on it so it's only a boiling pot now, and the skillet I do use occasionally. Maybe there are better sets out there now, compared to the way they were in 1994 though.

I really like using them for low fat cooking. And the clean up is really easy. However, I also think that Le Cruset and All Clad are good lines too.

I think so. I switched over roughly 4 years ago and love them!
