Hi, I'm Danny! I usually don't answer questions on this, but I might sometimes. I tend to just ask. And, by the way, I ask a lot of Japanese language related questions, but I'm not learning. I'm just insane about Japanese culture. Um.. I'm a nice person, so now I don't know. Bye!<3

  • Can I just clone a partition to an SSD, not the full drive?

    Hi,

I plan on cloning Windows to a new SSD but it'd be easier for me to just move non-program files to a new partition and clone C:\ to the SSD. Can I do this or will it try to clone the entire HDD including all other partitions?

  • Will watching a video affect the life of an SD card?

    Hi,

I'm considering using SD cards to store my media library. They're cheap and easy to use. I know that SD cards have limited writing capabilities (anywhere between 10k and 100k) but I would be writing my libraries to the cards once and then only using them to retrieve videos or songs when I want to watch them.

Does watching a video or listening to a song effect the overall life of an SD card? Would I even notice?

  • What is the best concert you've attended?

I'm just curious as to what concerts you've been to and consider the best you attended!

For me, it was Muse at Reading Festival 2011. Hearing "Origin of Symmetry" is full was the best thing I've ever experienced.

  • Best thermal paste for an i5-3210M processor?

My processor is starting to overheat and I know the stock paste that was on my processor is awful so I want to get some new stuff on it.

But I also know that applying the wrong kind of paste could be bad for the processor so what's the best kind? I hear Arctic Silver 5 is the best but I'm not so sure. Should I just go with that?

Please give evidence as well, thanks.

  • What is the online service for the PS3 like?

I will be buying a PS3 in the future and want to know what your experiences with the Playstation Network are. Is the PS Network good or not? Are players idiots or generally well composed?

    Thanks.

PS. I'm not getting a 360. I want blu-ray and games you find on both consoles like GTA. I've had a 360 before and didn't like it.

  • Nowadays, electronic music = dubstep. True?

Nowadays, any artist who has some heavy electronic bass in a song is now classed as dubstep -- either the song or the band.

Would you agree? Muse, for example, are chided for becoming a "dubstep band" despite not really using dubstep, just fuzzy/electronic basses.

It's not even real dubstep, just this "brostep" like Skrillex.

For the record, I like dubstep and brostep and whatever it's called.

  • Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park: EXACT ticket prices?

I'm off to the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park today and want to know exact ticket prices.

The website says "start from £3" but that's not useful. Can anyone who's been to it already tell me exact prices for rides? Thanks!

  • What, exactly, is a 'liberal' in the United States?

I hear Americans putting down 'liberals' all the time but never really explain what a 'liberal' is, they just say "they're f---ing idiots". That's not helpful.

Last time I checked, to be liberal meant to be open to new ideas and progression. I don't see what's so wrong with being open minded.

I'm English, for the record. What IS a 'liberal'? And don't be biased.

  • Is this metonymy, a synecdoche or metaphysical conceit?

I've written a poem where the concept of dating one's bed is used to stand in place for monotony in everyday life. Is this metonymy, a synecdoche or metaphysical conceit?

  • How probable is a transatlantic tunnel?

I've often wondered whether a transatlantic tunnel would be viable but surely it'd break as the North American and Eurasian plates move, right?

Or don't plates move far enough for it to matter in our life time? After all, it took 50 million years for Earth to look like it does today!

  • Make a good music playlist?

I want to listen to more music and would appreciate a good playlist to expose me to new artists.

Any genre is fine, I need to broaden my horizons!

The best playlist gets best answer.

How to be the best? Lots of songs and variety!

    Thanks.

  • Make a good Spotify playlist?

I've got a Spotify Unlimited account that I barely use so let's put it to good use!

Who can make me a good Spotify playlist? I need to listen to more music, anyway. I'd like a mix of genres and songs. It doesn't matter when they were released, but I'd prefer modern music.

You can either list songs here or share your lists and link them to here.

Note: I'll only give best answer to a list which is both diverse and has 20 or more songs in.

And please, if you link me, no long lists of albums. I want single songs only.

Also, no Muse. I already listen to Muse enough.

  • What's with the dot on my eye?

I've had this little dot on my left eye for years. I'm wondering what you call something like this!

Bonus marks: what colour are my eyes?

  • Explain Obama and Romney to me, a Brit?

I'm British but hear lots on the American debates. However, I don't really know what Obama and Romney stand for.

Can someone give me a list of some of their policies and viewpoints, please?

Bonus points if you tell me what Obama has done in his term.

And, of course, no bias. You won't get best answer if you say one is better than the other!

  • How big is the box for a digital drum kit?

I'd like to buy a digital drum kit before going to Uni but carrying it is something that might pose a problem.

Any idea of how big the average digital drum kit box is? Can it be carried with one hand/arm?

  • What's the difference between a straight and compound guitar neck?

I don't really understand the difference in terms of how it affects playing.

I'm looking to find something that makes soloing easier as my Telecaster's neck is rather fiddly when I try. What'll make playing solos easier?

    Thanks.

  • Cheap guitar pedal to go up an octave?

Hi. For a lot of solos they go up an octave and I'm looking into buying a cheap pitch shifting pedal which lets me do this.

Would something let me change the pitch so my output is an octave higher than the guitar?

The Digitech Whammy is definitely out of the question as I don't want to spend too much on one. I'd say my budget is about £50 but that's probably too low.

It doesn't need to be that great, it's just for practice. I'm no good at this!

  • Dual core processor questions?

I have a new laptop and it comes with a 1.8Ghz dual-core processor, so I must ask:

    1) Are the cores both clocked at 1.8Ghz for a total of 3.6Ghz or is it 1.8Ghz split into two at 900Mhz?

    2) What is the single core equivalent of the processor?

    3) What's the most demanding game I could use this laptop for hypothetically (it comes with 4GB DDR3 RAM too)? I won't use it for games but I use them as a template for performance as they're so demanding.

    Thanks!

  • Other Beyoncé songs like 'Love on Top'?

I'm not normally a fan of Beyoncé but I really like Love on Top and wonder if she's got any other songs in a similar soul/funk fashion.

Don't just suggest her most popular songs; I hate Halo and Single Ladies, after all.
