How can I reinforce my wooden swing set?
I have a great wooden swing set with a little tower, slide, ladder, monkey bars and 3 swings. The monkey bars (4x4's) support the three swings. When there are three kids on the swings, the supports on top bend (problem one) and the whole set "settles" forward and back with the weight (problem 2).
Time for a new one, or can I support the 4"x4"s somehow? Right now there are 3' 2x2's in each corner.
Should I also "re-set" the base with a better foundation to stop the "swaying" or are there other options. Sitting in good dirt now. Pretty level and sunken in. Been there 5 years.
Getting rid of a swing would help, but there are always 3-5 kids back there at a time (friends).
