After this vehicle sat with a flat battery in an Australian car dealers yard for a few weeks the owner accepted a really silly offer. Problem is that after getting it going the silly thing only has reverse and 3rd gear.

Is this a common problem? And will it be just an ECU reset to get her going properly again?

So what are we all going to do with boat on Christmas day in your part of the world. I went out and caught a heap of crabs and a few squid, caught up to a few fishermen friends and got a few kilos of prawns, some oysters and some Abalone. And a 5 kilo cray. Just getting stuck into it now. (makes Homer Simpson hunger noises) The home brew is real nice on this 25 C muggy day too. My son has bought a little 1990's Honda Civic, tuned headers into 2" pipe, twin carbs, twin cam 16 valve head etc. While putting his stereo in we discovered a complete ignition system set up in the rear. It appears to lead to the muffler, which was a twin sports system but is now a new standard looking muffler box with twin outlets. There is no sparking plug fitted so the lead just dangles near the muffler box. Allegedly this car was supercharged at some time. It goes very hard just like it is.
