Hm... What should I say? Love hockey in the winter and downhill biking in the summer, I read bathroom readers (seems half of what I know comes from those things). And of course, I'm a top 10 answerer in Music & Music Players, so if you have a question, please feel free to ask. We've all heard that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually reproduce the entire works of Shakespeare. Now, thanks to the Internet, we know this is not true." -Robert Wilensky

  • What are these lights called?

I've been looking for a while and can't seem to figure out what these lights are called. They can be set to display letters and numbers, and aren't used much anymore.

The title on this page, that says UBER, is an example of them.

  • Good songs for a halloween playlist?

Every year, I decorate my house for halloween, and I always make a music playlist (which I call "q list") to accompany everything.

It's made mostly of new-ish rock songs that seem to work well for this kind of setting. Also a few which aren't exactly rock, but sound neat anyways and/or would likely look cool when played through a color organ (see details at the bottom for more on that).

So, my question to you is, what other songs should I add to this list?

Aerials - System of a Down

Animal I Have Become - Three Days Grace

    B.Y.O.B. - System of a Down

    Beethoven's C**t - Serj Tankian

The Bird and the Worm - The Used

    Bomb Hands - Social Code

Chop Suey! - System of a Down

Confusion And Frustration In Modern Times - Sum 41

The Current - Blue Man Group

Cut The Curtains - Billy Talent

Devil In a Midnight Mass - Billy Talent

Devil In a Midnight Mass (Single Version) - Billy Talent

    Drumbone - Blue Man Group

    Empty Walls - Serj Tankian

    The End - The Doors

Exhibit 13 - Blue Man Group

Exogenesis: Symphony, Part 1 (Overture) - Muse

    Fallen Leaves - Billy Talent

Falling Stars (Bonus Track) - Serj Tankian

    Feed Us - Serj Tankian

Forever Always Ends - Social Code

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger - Daft Punk

House Of Wolves - My Chemical Romance

Hypnotize - System of a Down

In Fate's Hands - The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

    Inveigh - The Bronx

Iron Man (Live) - Black Sabbath

    The Jester - Sum 41

Know Your Enemy - Green Day

    Mandelgroove - Blue Man Group

March Of The Dogs - Sum 41

Meet The Spy Music V2 - Valve

Old School Hollywood - System of a Down

Piano Smasher - Blue Man Group

    The Pretender - Foo Fighters

Pull The Curtain - Sum 41

    Radio/Video - System of a Down

    Red Flag - Billy Talent

Ride of the Valkyries - Wagner

Rods and Cones - Blue Man Group

Rusted from the Rain - Billy Talent

Sad Statue - System of a Down

The Sharpest Lives - My Chemical Romance

Sky Is Over - Serj Tankian

Soldier Side - System of a Down

    Still Alive - GLaDOS

Television Rules the Nation / Crescendolls - Daft Punk

Tentative - System of a Down

    Theme - Hans Zimmer

This Cocaine Makes Me Feel Like I'm On This Song - System of a Down

Turn Your Back - Billy Talent

    Uprising - Muse

Vicinity of Obscenity - System of a Down

  • Two different chargers?

I have chargers for two separate devices, and I was wondering if they could be used for one another.

    One is 19V at 3.95A.

The other is 20V at 2A.

Both have the same tip, so I could plug one charger into either device. But would it be a good idea?

    Thanks.

  • Where can I find MythBusters DVD covers?

I have seasons 1-4, but I can't find any other ones.

    Google was quite unhelpful.

To clarify, I need images of the DVD covers.

    Thanks.

  • Devinci Ollie... (2o characters)?

On the bike BuySell websites I've been checking out lately (ie Pinkbike), I'be been noticing a lot of Devinci Ollies for sale... a lot more than any other bike.

Is there any reason for this? Maybe something about the bike that people don't like (and therefore want to get rid of)?

Or is it just a coincidence?

  • How to amplify a current running to speakers?

    Hi.

I need to make/purchase a device that will use a battery to amplify whatever current goes through it, hopefully doubling it. This current will originate from an iPod, and end up at a set of speakers.

Simply editing the sounds to make them louder is not an option.

    How do I do this?

  • question about cyclic quadrilaterals...?

Okay, so in math 20 we learned about cyclic quadrilaterals.

    There were apparently two types:

Those who had all four points on the edge of a circle

And those that had two points on the edge of the circle, one in the centre, and one outside the circle, where tangent lines could be drawn from the two edge points.

    Yes?

    Ok.

My question is for the second type, is it possible that a (larger) circle could be drawn with all points on its edge? (thus making it the same as the first type, but drawn differently.

  • New iPods' charging system... Difference in cord only?

So, the new iPods (Touch 2G, Nano 4G, Classic 6.5G) will only charge when you use the newest cords. Is that the only change?

For example, what would happen if:

You had a Touch 2G and newest cord for it. You also had an old AC/car adapter.

Would it charge properly, or would you need a new adapter as well?

  • Saving (large) temporary Internet files?

I am trying to download a video from the site http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-p... and am having difficulty.

First of all, the video is not on Youtube or similar sites.

Second, it is set up as a Flash video, so you can't right-click on it at all.

Also, I have found the file as a .tmp in my Temporary Internet Files (C:\Users\Steve\AppData\Local\Temp), but I am unable to do anything with it. I can't rename it or move it because it's in use when the window, and it deletes the file when I close the window.

    Any help?

I am using Vista and IE8.

  • Joke about lawyers... do you like it?

It seems that an engineer died and went to the pearly gates. St. Peter met him and looked in his book to determine where he was to go. He could not find his name in the book, so he sent him to hell. Some time later Satan calls God and tells him, "Thanks for sending that engineer down here. We now have air conditioning, escalators and other improvements that have really improved our way of life down here.

God said, "You have an engineer? Send him back."

Satan replied, "No way! We're keeping him."

God replied, "Send him back or I'll sue."

To which Satan said, "And just where will you get a lawyer?"

If you like it, let me know with a star, and pass it on to all your friends!

  • What size fog machine would be good for a front porch?

I am looking at buying one this year for halloween, and am wondering what size would be good. Would 400 watts be enough to cover a front porch, or should I go with something bigger?

Also, about how long will a quart/litre of fog juice last?
