Why are people worked up about horse meat found in Tesco burgers?
It's the same thing; human meat has been found in Kebabs before (Russian kebab house sold homeless man corpse) and the only time people care is when they realise it is not from an 'acceptable' animal; yet they were munching on it happily when it was anonymous. If you eat meat and can be put off just because you suddenly know where it comes from surely you shouldn't eat meat? I mean meat is meat.- Whether from human, rat, horse or cow. It's all the same once chopped and cooked.
So why are so many people fussing all of a sudden?
11 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups8 years agoHas anyone else added Vegan questions only to have them instantly removed?
What exactly is the community guideline I am breaching by asking a simple dietary question? (better not say it out loud- big brother is watching!)
Why do abusive comments from meat eaters never get removed when I report them yet mine are swiftly dealt with?
I posted the same question twice in a row only to be removed within a few minutes: anyone else had that?
7 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan8 years agoWhy do meat eaters feel the need to answer veggie questions?
Specifically the ones who don't contribute positively. Whilst free speaking debate is welcomed in the community, why do they trawl veggie/vegan specific questions in order to answer them with the same negative comments that the asker is inevitably not looking for if posting in the veg section.
I cannot comprehend the mindset; I would never go look for meat questions just to 'hate', yet they think veggies are the outspoken ones! It's like having no expertise or experience in politics and answering political related questions.
A slight rant, yes but I'd like insight as to their possible motives: They must have more going on in their lives than pure boredom. Is it because it touches a nerve similar to when a homosexual in the closet lashes hates on Gay people? I'm sure they'll pitch in their comments too, further proving my point.
17 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan8 years agoCan you safely drink wood ash?
Research on historical Gladiators apparently shows they consumed brews of wood ash and vinegar as a highly alkaline calcium rich mineral drink which meant that they had extremely high bone strontium levels, therefore really strong bones- much stronger than modern day athletes.
However there is no modern research to be found on Google as to the effect of this drink on the body, only about the use of potash in gardens where it seems to be hinted it would be dangerous for human consumption.
Anybody have any educated guesses?
9 AnswersOther - Food & Drink8 years agoAnyone with contact lens experience....?
I'm using Specsavers monthly contact lenses at the moment but wish to change to Daysoft daily disposable lenses because specsavers are like sandpaper and ironically more expensive. However: My lens prescription from specsavers is the same as my glasses prescription (-1.00 and -1.25) although I thought lens prescriptions differ? Anyway I ordered the appropriate daysoft lenses, tried them on and they were blurry. Can anyone offer advice please? Thank you.
3 AnswersFashion & Accessories8 years agoWhy do some people still think Hitler was a vegetarian?
Is it a lack of common sense? I mean a person who is ethical enough not to harm any living being is not then going to turn around and commit mass genocide. That's simple logic.
Furthermore it has been unanimously proven as in incorrect myth by the most renowned scholars on the subject and verified by the TV show 'QI'.
PS: Being an animal lover doesn't make you a human hater- in fact an ethical dietary choice aids humanity and it's future more than any humanitarian project. Just know if you argue with this you are arguing with Einstein who said that vegetarianism is the best thing for the human race!
4 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups8 years agoWhat is the song playing during the strip club scene in the Keith Lemon movie?
It's about 17 minutes into the movie, and is not listed in the credits or soundtrack.
And nobody in the world seems to know; I've already posted it once on yahoo US.
