Can anyone name the cartoon where people wore bird-like costumes and could spin around and create tornadoes?
They all had a jet fighter that could join together into one big one. The only character's name I remember was the little one was named Cheops, and his catch phrase was something like "ach,-brrt, wait for me!" When they fought the bad guys they'd stand on each other's shoulders and make a pyramid and spin around real fast and create a tornado or something.
1 AnswerComics & Animation1 decade agoFixing MLB The Show 09 freezing problems on PS2?
I manually updated the rosters, mostly just adding the free agents to the teams. When I try to start either a franchise or RTTS, it says "initializing rosters, please wait" and stops. Any ideas how to fix it, or is it just a bad game disk?
2 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoWhy do people thiink lottery e-mails are legit?
Seriously, are people really that f-ing stupid? If you don't enter a lottery, how the hell can you win one? I've got a better, idea, bankroll me in the World Series of Poker with the money you're going to lose in a scam and I'll split my winnings with you.
3 AnswersGambling1 decade agoIf there is no creator, where did matter come from?
One of the laws of science (that's a law, fact, proven, not up for debate) states that matter can be neither created nor destroyed. Seems to me that this kind of shoots a big hole in the Big Bang theory.
I'm not advocating for any one religion. Judeo-Christian/Islamic idea of creation, various Native American stories, Norse, Greek, etc all make more sense to me than "well, things just kind of appeared out of nowhere." Even the idea that there was a god but he/she or that we're really just some kid's science fair experiment is better than that.
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do some Christians believe that drinking alcohol is a sin?
Even one beer with dinner or whatever. Putting alcohol before God is different.
Jesus drank wine, turned water into wine, and never condemned drinking wine. Therefore, either Jesus sinned or drinking alcohol isn't a sin. This is a paradox that some fundamental Christians don't seem to get. And remember, you can't spell fundamental without mental, lol.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWill Aaron Rodgers be willing to sit another year if Favre comes back again?
The guy's been the QB of the future for awhile now, and by all accounts he's as ready as he's going to get sitting on the sidelines. De the Packers quietly force Favre into retirement, does he play another year with Rodgers as the backup, or does Rodgers demand a trade and force them to find yet another replacement for Brett?
9 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoIf you were NHL commish with ultimate power for a week, what would you do?
First, I would drop the instigator rule. Any team who sent out goons at the end of the game to injure someone/cause problems when they were losing would get a $100,000 fine and the players on the ice would all be suspended 3 games.
Second, grandfather in visors. Players already in the NHL wouldn't have to switch, but anyone coming into the league or the AHL would have to wear them. People who argue against visors are parroting the same arguments against helmets when they were phased in.
Third, eliminate Atlanta and Columbus, Move Carolina to Hartford, TB to Quebec, and Phoenix to Winnipeg, give Chicago and Boston new owners, and tell Minnesota that they are the Northstars now.
Finally, if a goalie leaves the crease to play the puck, he is fair game to get hit. the same rules about hitting other players would apply to hitting goalies. e.g. no spearing, has to be playing the puck, no charging, etc.
20 AnswersHockey1 decade agoHas anyone has put more QBs in the NFL than Michigan since 1990?
The last 7 QBs who have started for Michigan have been on an NFL roster, at least as a #3 QB. Elvis Grbac, Todd Collins, Brian Griese, Scott Dreisbach (#3 his senior year behind Brady and Henson, was the Raiders #3 QB for a couple years) Tom Brady, Drew Henson, and John Navarre. Barring a major injury, Henne is next, and incoming Freshman Ryan Mallet should make it to the NFL if he lives up to his potential. That's straight 7 past QBs who have played in the NFL plus two current ones who should/could make it. Grbac, Collins, Bray, and Griese were all starters. Can you say QB U?

If I had had yahoo answers when I was in high school, I 'd probably be as lazy and dumb as the kids on here wanting everyone to do their homework for them.
9 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhy are some double standards ok?
Why is it ok for a woman to slap a man, but not a man slap a woman? Why do men have to buy a woman a huge diamond and pay for dates, but women aren't expected to pay for anything? Why is it ok to use race as a basis for hiring or college scholarships for minorities? Scholarships for hispanics, blacks, and any other race is ok, but a white-only scholarship[ would be racist. It's ok for a minority comedian to make fun of white people, but now white people to make fun of minorites.
