  • Alice: Return to Madness question?

I've owned American Mcgee's Alice for years now and thrilled that they finally have come up with a great looking sequel. I plan on pre-ordering it today. However, when looking at the difference between direct download and a hard copy, the direct download has "complete collection" and names some bonus things you can get, like a dress pack and weapon upgrades. My question is, if I buy the hard copy, will I miss out on the bonuses? or are the bonuses an "if you buy from EA games" sort of deal.

I'd like to have the hard copy, but not if it means I'm missing out on a bunch of cool extras.

So anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

  • How do you crochet in the round?

I'm not working from a pattern. No matter how much I try, I end up working in a spiral! I slip stitch when I'm finished with the row, but I'm still spiraling. I'm making an amigurumi, and I need to be working in rows for the stripes to line up properly. I looked on youtube for tutorials, but none of them help in the slightest. So could anyone give me good, easy to follow steps, I'd really owe you. And if there is any way to save the spiral work so I won't have to re-do it, that would be great. (Though I'm not holding my breath, I'll re-do it if I have to.)

  • Can anyone tell me why my crochet amigurumi looks off? (Pictures)?

This is my third project, and I'm noticing that sometimes they get rather gappy (for lack of a better term) and it doesn't have that fluid look that it's supposed to. I'm working as tight as I can, so I don't think that's the problem. I could be wrong on that, however. I'm not working from a pattern this time around. So if anyone could tell me what's wrong, I'd really appreciate it! (Also, if there is a way to make the stripes line up better, I'd love to hear it!)

  • How do I play music on one slide in keynote?

I only want to play a portion of a song in keynote; the slide is in the middle. I need it to stop by the next slide.

It's pretty important that I fix this problem, as my grade is dependent on it.

  • Another "What's that song?"?

I believe it came out about 2007-2009. I can't recall a single lyric, or even if the song was decent. However, the music video was good; it had the band members in a room with fairy lights and paper on the walls. A girl comes in near the end, and something happens. I don't remember what. I think the was a violin involved?

If you have any clue what I'm talking about, you're pretty impressive.

  • Can someone help me find a 3 female character script 5 minutes long?

The script must be 5-8 minutes long and be three characters with an equal or near equal amount of lines. Preferably female, androgynous, or an easy name change away from being a female character.

  • Why wasn't I allowed to donate blood?

I'm 16, and today they were having a blood drive at my school. I was apparently good to go, but then we took my pulse. I'm not sure what it was, and he asked if I had been running. I said yes, I had to get my I.D. I was also nervous, as my friend said I had to sit in the chair for ten minutes while they draw blood. He retested my pulse 5 minutes later, and informed me it was to high to give blood. It was 114. I'm really disappointed. Could anyone tell me why I wasn't allowed to give blood?

  • I have been looking into unschooling....?

And I like a lot of what i hear- learning by yourself and all. There is so much I would like to learn about, but it never seems like I have enough time to do it. I hate school, but I love learning, and I don't really feel like I learn much at school.

On the other hand, It seems like unschooling leaves many holes in the education, and is frowned upon by colleges and future places that would hire me, even though i'm not looking for a conventional job. I read the teenage liberation handbook, but I am still worried. Droping out? it worries me so much. And the stories of the people and what they are doing now don't really seem to apply to me.

If anyone out there can help me apply unschooling to fit me better, or anything else helpful, I would much appreciate it.

  • A few basic home schooling questions?

How can would one become home schooled legally? How do I set up a curriculum? Is it legal for a highly motivated 16 year old to home school herself, without adult supervision? How would they make sure that a home schooled kid was up to date and learning properly?Any other tips you think would be helpful would be much appreciated!

Thank you ahead of time for your answers!

  • Questions about my new old laptop?

Well, my birthday was August 20th, and my grandma gave me her old laptop. It's a Dell Latitude...I think. I'm pretty technologically inept, so I have some questions:

It has Windows 2000. Could I get Vista on it?

She bought a new one because this one was not wireless. Does Dell Latitude lack the ability to be wireless, or did she not have the right things for it?

Thanks to all who answer. And I hope someone does.

  • Is this PMDD? (Premenstrual dysphoric disorder)?

I am 16 years old, and until my last 3 periods I didn't really have a problem. Now, I have hideous cramps, I burst out crying for no reason, and if something is funny and I laugh, it will make me cry the moment I do, almost like I feel guilty for doing so. I feel anxious and hopeless, I get repulsed if I look into mirrors, I become angry and frustrated more then usual (though I openly admit my fuse is short to begin with. Is this a symptom?) and I have some suicidal thoughts.

this generally happens two weeks before my cycle, and then ends a day afterward.

If I do have it, how can I stop it? I'm not taking any medication, and I'm not on the pill.

  • What is a good red lipstick for pale skin?

I love the dramatic contrast of my dark brown hair with super pale skin and red lips- but some red's look better then others. So, does anyone know a really "red" red, that would look good on pale people?

  • People to People? Student Ambassador?

I got this letter in the mail to join People to People to go to Australia. I went to the website, but it didn't tell me much.

I didn't sign up for anything. Why did they choose me?

Would I have to pay for it? Or is it a organization payed trip?

Is it hard to get one of these? Would it look good on a college application?

i know i'm supposed to reserve my spot at the information meeting, but it doesn't tell me where. Once I reserve it, will it tell me?

  • Can you name some cheesy horror flicks?

I don't mean stuff like from nowadays- They all are bad but trying to be good. I mean old stuff, with titles like "It came from the swap!" and have a just all around heart warming cheese factor that makes you laugh, but still throw the occasional glance over your shoulder, just in case. I love movies like that.

    Any title suggestions?

  • My Jaw has been knocked slightly out of place (Worried)?

My 4 year old sister was throwing a fit,Screaming and crying and jumping around, so I carried her to her room. The moment her feet touched the floor, she screamed and cried and jumped some more. And her head hit my jaw. Hard. I bit my tongue and felt mildly intense pain (Oxymoron, I realize) in my jaw. It feels like it is moving to my right slightly. It hurts to clench my teeth, and I hear a funny noise when I swallowed. My mom was late for an appointment with my brother at the hospital, and asked me if I wanted to go to the ER. I said no, we'll see when she gets back. The appointments usually last 3 hours, and this happened 13 minutes age. I took some painkillers 7 minutes age.

I'm sorry for the novel, but I thought in this case, the information, the more help people could be to me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, cause I'm kinda freaking out right now. Is it normal to be so long and it not pop back into place?

  • Is there a way I can learn about 1920s-1930s?

And I don't mean a broad, general view, but how time was spent, and cabarets and jazz and forms of entertainment, the music, the language, the hospital care and mental institutions, what was considered attractive, stuff like that. It's not for anything but to satisfy my own curiosity. I know the basic outline and would like to know more. Preferably a book.

    Not about the great depression.

  • What do you think separates good writing from bad writing?

The amount of detail used? Being able to identify with the characters? Real emotions? Creative wording?

I don't mean what makes a story interesting (though many could say that the writing makes the story, and that's true, for the most part.) I mean the actual writing. What do you look for, and consider good writing and bad writhing?
