I'm two months into weight training aged 47 but not seeing any weight gains. In fact my waist size just gets smaller. I do compound moves and each week add weight or reps to them. MyFitnessPal tells me to eat 2700 calories a day for 1/2lb weekly gain or 2920 for 1lb a week. Obviously not enough.... i have now gone for 3200 with protein, carbs and fats.

I can put on fat around the middle like most people but am aiming at a 16lb increase. Is it possible?
