I'm bored. I'm caught up on all of the programs that I watch, and they are about to enter the winter hiatus. I'd love recommendations of programs to watch until the shows come back in January. They can either be current or on DVD, but they must be dramas, no comedy or *shudder* reality.

My favorite shows at the moment are...

Grey's Anatomy (although it is nowhere near as good as seasons 1 & 2)

Heroes (although, again, not as good now as it was)

Without a Trace (although, again, not as good as the first three seasons)

Legend of the Seeker (such a guilty pleasure!)

Shows from the past that I've liked...

La Femme Nikita (not so much Alias, though)

Angel (not so much Buffy, though)

Gilmore Girls

The Pretender

I do not like...

Prison Break (the first season was good, though, so similar things are fine)

CSI & CSI Miami (the former for the Grissom/Sara thing, the latter for Horatio)

Private Practice (wow, they butchered the character of Addison!)

Criminal Minds (too misogynistic)

I know it is a tough question, as I've already seen so much, but if anyone would be willing to give some great shows and a brief reason why you like them, I'd greatly appreciate it.

My 1993 Nissan Altima has never accelerated well. It usually hesitated for a second before going when I started from a stop. Just today, though it is accelerating horribly. If I start from a stop, I have to floor the accelerator, and even then it takes 15-20 seconds before it does anything. Then the RPMs go really high and it finally starts to move.

If I am already moving, sometimes it accelerates okay, but other times the RPMs get really high.

I checked the Automatic transmission fluid and it was a little low, but I refilled it and tried again and it was still accelerating dreadfully.

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with my car? And anything else I could check on my own before having to take it in for service?

What do you think? Who do you think is leaving the show this year, and how do you feel about it?

I was okay with Kate leaving because I knew it was the actress' decision. And, I actually think the show became stronger with the addition of Ziva.

I can't say I'm looking forward to this, though. *sigh*

Sara will be returning on Prison Break next season in the Fall?

Will this make you more or less willing to watch next season?

Do you think that it is yet another implausibility, or do you not care as long as Sara returns?

In general, what are your thoughts about it?

I'm not sure what to think. I stopped watching when they killed her off, but as I was already irritated at the way they played fast and loose with the facts, I'm not sure this will make me want to watch again. Plus, I'm not sure I have the faith in The Powers That Be to treat the character right after what they did to her last time. On the other hand, I liked Sara and wouldn't mind seeing her again. Sigh. What decisions!
