I'm curious about your reaction toward the incorrect use of words?
It could just be me, but certain words people use annoy me incredibly. This is mainly when someone uses a word they are convinced is a word, yet it isn't a word at all.
When I'm wandering through the Cooking & Recipes section, someone will try to explain how to make something and then end with, "wa-la" or "wahlah." However, neither are words at all. It rhymes with the actual word, sure, but the word is "voilà."
Another example is when my friend was talking about her frustrations and she exclaimed, "It just makes me so 'adjervated!'" I questioned her made-up word and she went on to define it. I explained to her that that word doesn't exist, yet she argued that it does; that she -knows- it does.
It's like nails on a chalkboard to me.
So back to my question: Do incorrect words annoy you? Or do they not annoy you at all? But if they do, which words?
