8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDo black labs have larger genitalia than yellow labs?
My wife finds it gross when she can see a male dog's...you know. I'm thinking of buying a lab from a friend of mine whose dog just had a litter, but he only has males left. Does the color of the dog's fur have any correlation to genital size, like it does with humans? I want to keep it as small as possible. It's hard to tell how big it's gonna be since they're still puppies.
9 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhere can I find a recipe for TGI Friday's artichoke dip?
And don't give me the link to this recipe: http://www.bukisa.com/articles/395896_tgi-fridays-... ; I tried it last week and it wasn't quite right. It was okay, but not the same thing. I want the genuine article!
1 AnswerCooking & Recipes1 decade agoRemember when people were convinced Obama was going to take their guns?
Why are pro-gun people so paranoid about their gun rights getting taken away? While some liberal, urban areas try to control firearms (not places with many gun enthusiasts anyway), there is pretty much zero chance of the nation as a whole adopting strict gun control. Gun rights are basically the marijuana legalization for right wingers. It's something where supporters are extremely enthusiastic, most people are neutral and opponents are relatively unenthusiastic. It's one of those things where most people agree that we have bigger fish to fry. So why are some conservatives so paranoid about their guns being taken away? There hasn't been a real threat to gun rights (on a national level anyways) since the early 90s. Most politicians, right or left, realize it's political poison to go against gun rights, so don't worry. Nobody is going to have to pry your gun from your cold, dead fingers.
15 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoIs the Jamal's snake story true?
Last night a friend told me about a Georgia high school girl named Latisha who supposedly was asked to use the word "handsome" in a sentence on a test and answered "Sometimes when I be suckin' Jamal's snake my jaw gets tired and I have to use my handsome." Did this really happen? It sounds way too funny to be true.
My friend said it shows how crappy our education system is. On the contrary, I think it's a testament to our educational system that someone like Latisha ever learned to read and write at all.

10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoShould US Supreme Court Justices be elected?
Personally, I don't think any judges should be elected, but it's still an interesting thought. Most voters have even less knowledge of judicial candidates than they do of legislative and executive candidates, which is saying a lot. I live in Ohio where the Supreme Court Justices are elected. The office is so blatantly political it makes me sick. There is little to no respect for precedent in anything even remotely controversial. Cases get overturned every new term as if they are legislation. Yet they still put on this solemn little song and dance as if they are totally impartial.
11 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoShould schools advocating teaching Creationism alongside Evolution have to teach the Hindu creation story too?
Or the creation stories of all major religions for that matter? After all, don't Creationists want children to hear all sides of the controversy and decide for themselves? I know I don't want some biologist nut job shoving Evolution down my kids' throats without hearing what Shintoism has to say about the origins and history of life on Earth.
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhen we say "In God We Trust" whose conception of God are we trusting?
Even two Christians can have wildly different views of who and what God is. What is the point of putting that on our money? Is the omnipotent creator of the universe really so susceptible to flattery that he'll watch out for us just because we put it on our money? He's not some Irish guy from Boston who will like you just because you wear a Red Sox hat. God, if He cares anything about us or for us, would probably care about what we really think, not what we proclaim to think. I doubt he would fall for such a cheap trick.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs it more important to God that gays be outcast or that orphans get a family?
I.e. does God approve of gay adoption? Please point to the specific conversation God had with you or someone you know in which God told you his preference.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoShouldn't we focus on cutting taxes for the type of spender that contributes 70% to the GDP?
"Because consumer spending accounts for about 70 percent of GDP, a 2 percent increase raises GDP growth by almost 1.5 percentage points. By contrast, it would take a roughly 10 percent increase in investment—spending on things like factories, equipment, and new-home construction—to boost GDP growth by roughly the same amount, because investment only accounts for about 14 percent of GDP." 12 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy does the Pope proclaim the virtue of charity while living in a palace littered in solid gold?

Does God prefer bling for his followers over alleviating the suffering of the starving poor? Also consider the expensive costumes custom tailored for his holiness the Pope.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs Fred Phelps the best friend the homosexual agenda ever had?
He's the guy who leads the anti-gay protests outside gay soldiers' funerals. He makes anti-gay people look like monsters, even though most of them don't agree with him or, at the very least, his methods. Even if you don't like the thought of gay marriage or seeing a ludicrously flamboyant gay pride parade, you have to admit they seem a far lesser evil than people waving signs that say "God Hates F*gs" in the faces of parents attending their gay son's funeral.
2 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy doesn't God always reward good people in this world?
If God is so concerned with human beings acting righteous and good, why doesn't he reward them for it, or at least give them more of an indication that they will one day be rewarded for it? So many good people are mercilessly slaughtered (e.g. http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/asiapcf/10/09/afghan... and so many terrible, heartless people have marvelous lives (e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paris_Hilton). Why does God do this? He's ruining the lives of a lot of otherwise great people with his indifference.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf you don't use extensions, is there any good reason to use Firefox instead of Chrome?
First I used IE. Then I grew up and used Firefox. However, the only extension I used was StumbleUpon. Now I use Chrome, which has StumbleUpon. I like it because it's way faster than Firefox or IE and it never gives me error messages when I play video, which Firefox does. Is there anything Firefox really offers over Chrome besides the amazing quantity and quality of extensions? My primary concerns are the size, speed and security of the program (had a couple viruses from porn and StumbleUpon---not fun). I always hear Firefox is really good security-wise. Why is this? Is it superior to Chrome in that department? I got a virus on StumbleUpon while using Firefox. I have a $40 anti-virus program, too.
1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoHow long has it been since we've had a president that the opposing party didn't say they wanted impeached?
Republicans tried to impeach Clinton. Liberals always talked about impeaching Bush. Now Republicans always talk about impeaching Obama. I'm too young to have concrete memories of what the political environment was like before that. Has this been going on forever or are we just more polarized now?
5 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoCould you see dinosaurs by getting 100 million light years from Earth and using a very powerful telescope?
Since that light would have emanated from Earth 100 million light years before (assuming there were dinosaurs on Earth 100 million years ago)? I don't see why not. Now all I need is a way to instantly get 100 million light years from Earth and a telescope somehow powerful enough to view small details on Earth from 100 million light years away. Difficult, but it sounds easier than building a time machine.
