how can i clean dried dog urine from carpet?
Okay, so last week we had our carpets professionally cleaned. Sometime in the last few days our lovely dog peed on the carpet in our spare bedroom. By the time we noticed, it had dried. I went today and purchased a Hoover carpet steamer/shampooer along with the solution marked for pet stains.
So I filled the shampooer and cleaned the floor, emptied, rinsed, and refilled, five times this evening. The smell, while it has lessened, is still there. I realize the urine has probably soaked through to the carpet pad underneath. My question is should I keep going at this point? Should I let it dry overnight and go over it some more tomorrow? Is it beyond repair? I am so frustrated and do not have the money to replace carpet right now. If anyone has any answers, I'd be very grateful. Thank you :)
4 AnswersCleaning & Laundry7 years agoboneless pork loin in crock pot?
i put a boneless pork loin (which has been in a peppercorn marinade) in my crock pot. i cut a medium yellow onion into 1/6 chunks and put those around the pork loin along with two large chopped carrots and added some additional seasoning such as thyme and garlic, then set it on low for eight hours.
my question is how much liquid do i put in?
i put a little water for now, about 1/2 - 3/4 cup.
any help is appreciated :) thanks.
1 AnswerCooking & Recipes1 decade agoorange whipped topping?
when i was a kid a friend of the family would make this orange flavored whipped topping to top our waffles every christmas morning. she would not give out the recipe and passed away some years ago. i don't recall much other than it was sweet, not tart or citrus-y, there were no chunks, and i loved it.
is anyone out there familiar with such a recipe? i would love to hear from you.
thanks.
6 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoneed diy wedding favor, decor, centerpiece ideas?
hi, my youngest sister is getting married :)
she is in school, he is in the army, needless to say neither has much money.
i don't either but would like to help where i can as far as decorations, centerpieces, and wedding favors.
i'm researching this online, but am wondering if any of you folks have any ideas as well.
her wedding is in december, not sure on the number of guests yet (although i believe it will be around or over 100), and her wedding colors will be white, green, and silver.
i've found some inexpensive favor bags with (clear with silver) that i could fill with white and green m&m's or something of that nature....
i appreciate any and all ideas!
please please please keep cost in mind, i have very little to spend.
thanks!
7 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoWhat is wrong with my basil plants? Tiny black "spots"?
I have two basil plants, they are growing very well, but I get these tiny black 'somethings' on them. I see that they are tiny and black, I'm not sure what they are beyond that. They do not move around, i.e. bugs, and I can rub them off with a fingernail or wipe them off with a wet towel. So it's not a case of the leaf being discolored. I have cut the plants down completely and when they've grown back, they look great for a short while, then it occurs all over again. Does anyone know what this is and how I can get rid of and/or prevent it from happening?
Thank you.
