  • Why is OK for Scientologists, but illegal for these idiots?

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Authorities say the owners of a suburban Chicago tarot-card reading business have been charged in an alleged plan to defraud customers by persuading them they were cursed.

The DuPage County sheriff's office says customers of Psychic Tarot Card Reading thought they could only lose the curse by undergoing thousands of dollars worth of counseling.

Tracy Tan is charged with eight felony counts, including theft, forgery and possession of fraudulent identification. Eric Tan is charged with felony possession of fraudulent ID.

They were being held at the county jail Monday in lieu of $750,000 bail each. They're scheduled to appear in court April 7.

    --------------

So, it's OK for the "Church" of Scientology to charge thousands of $$$ for "Auditing" with "E-Meters" and "Training" to identify "engrams", "incidents", and "implants", in "preclears" ? Does this make sence to anyone? Both sound the same to me: "Pay us tons of money and we'll make you all better" (minus proof)

  • Mothers, why did you have children? Do you work outside the home or are you a stay at home Mom?

This question is going to sound loaded, but it's not. It's a serious question. I'm not trying to bash ANYONE.

I'd like to know why women have kids if they're not going to be home to raise them? Why do people think it's a good idea to make babies, go back to full-time work 6 weeks later, and stick their kids in childcare to be raised by other people? How is that healthy?

I know that financially, many women have to go back to work, but don't you think that if more women stayed home to raise their own children, there would be more available jobs for men to have so that they could support their families.

I'm not trying to say that women should not work. I'm saying that when you decide to make a human being, you should be inclined to stick around and raise them. If you don't want to raise them, don't make them.

  • Which version of AIM allows file transfers?

My sister just installed the latest version and it doesn't have a file transfer/sharing capabilities. I know I have 5.9 and I can transfer files and stuff, but why can't hers? She downloaded and installed 6.5, I believe.

    Thanks!

  • Why do Christians ignore most of Leviticus except for the "anti-homosexual" part?

Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate, right? I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them.

    - I know that men are not allowed contact with me while I'm in my period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). Does that mean I don't have to go to work? Is it a religious holiday?

    - I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

    - Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify?

    - A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination (Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

  • Would you rather have an alcoholic parent or a pot-head parent?

In this scenario, only one parent is under the influence, the other parent is sober. Plus, the alcoholic or stoner parent is a functioning one, meaning, he or she goes to work, pays the bills, etc..... I'm also curious as to which parent you'd choose to be the screw up.... mommy or daddy?

I ask this, of course, because I myself, had a raging alcoholic as a father. Now that I'm all grown up, I sometimes think that my life would have a little bit easier if he had been a stoner, instead.

  • What do you think about David Motari, the puppy tossing U.S. Marine?

Thoughts, feelings? What should be done? Do you think it's a fake video? Do you think it's a big deal about nothing? Should he be thrown over a cliff, himself?

  • Why has Ron Paul been ignored by the media from the very start?

I've seen tons of polls, stories, lists, etc., that include just about everyone else that was or is running, but exclude Dr. Paul. Why is he not the media darling that he should be? Is it because he doesn't play "the game"? His ideas aren't radical, they're based on common sense and The Constitution of the United States. Someone please give me a good reason why he is constantly ingored.

  • Mormons, this one's for you...?

Why does God require secret handshakes, names and passwords to pass through the veil and enter his presence? Can't God look into our hearts and know whether or not we are worthy?

  • Are Amy Winehouse's tattoos real or fake? How do you know?

My husband swears they're fake, but I'm not sure. I'm a big fan of her music, so if you're just gonna hate, don't bother. Thanks, guys!
