Sugar Allergy? Sweetener Allergy? HELP?
I have been having the same problem for at least two years now, where after eating a large amount of sugary foods (candy, frosting, etc), I will get flu-like symptoms for up to a week, along with a headache, and a piercing sore throat. If I have a small amount, say one twizzler, I will start feeling ill after and wake up with a sore throat that typically lasts a week or so.
This morning I woke up with a sore throat after having eaten 2 granola bars last night (about 8g of sugar/bar), and after eating a starburst in class, it escalated to the flu-like symptoms again.
Since these are not common allergy symptoms (no hives or anything), I don't know what it could be. Doctors have not been helpful in this case, and tell me that it's "just a virus" overtime, which I find highly unlikely since it seems to have a direct correlation w/ sugary foods and it feels exactly the same every time.
1 AnswerAllergies7 years agoWill a silicone mat work as well as a heat mat for a flat iron/hair straightener?
After just purchasing a "cheap" straightener online ($50 was the bargain price), I am not really in the mood to spend another 10-20 on a stand or a heat mat. I have lots of silicone hot pads for baking lying around and it seems like if you layered two or so it would act pretty much the same. I don't want my iron to burn my counter. Help please?
1 AnswerHair9 years agoCurling your hair with a flat iron?
I've been looking at flat irons that i would be able to straighten and curl my hair with except the one i would like to purchase is a 1.5 inch. All of the tutorials i have seen on curling your hair with a flat iron say to use a 1 inch. will it still work? the 1 inch straighteners for some reason are more expensive in the brand i would like to buy. Help please?

1 AnswerOther - Internet1 decade agoWhy can I not play my trumpet?
I've rented the same trumpet since I started playing. For a present, I got a "new for me" but old trumpet. I clean it out all the time, but I can't play it right. It seems like I have to blow too hard to get it to play right, and when I do that, I feel like I'm about to faint.
What should I do?
