Can we agree that the road ahead is a rough one?
I just wanted to say that McCain gave a very gracious speech last night. He has given a lot to his country and should be thanked for his service. I hope the country can come together. We have a lot of challenges ahead of us and they cannot be solved unless we come together. We need to focus on the things that we can agree on, instead of always focusing on our differences.
Can the country do that, or are we too far gone for that to happen?
8 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy does McCain hate Israel?
Since apparently Khalidi is the "mouthpiece" for the PLO according to Fox News, and McCain gave half a million dollars to him, that means McCain hates Israel, right?
6 AnswersElections1 decade agoShouldn't Sarah Palin know by now what the VP does?
I would think she would have read the job description by now. In the beginning she said "what does the VP do everyday anyway?" Now she thinks the VP is "in charge of the Senate, and can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes"
16 AnswersElections1 decade agoDid you think it was amazing to see?
100,000 people turn out in St. Louis on Saturday to see Obama speak? It was quite a sight.
17 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy do people keep saying "the polls mean nothing?
Kerry was farther ahead of Bush at this time in 2004 than Obama is ahead of McCain now." That simply is not true. Is it selective memory or what? A Gallup poll on October 19, 2004 shows Bush with a lead of 52% to 44%. While I don't put a whole lot of stock in polls either, lets at least get the facts straight.

will Grampy McSame be forced to actually look at "that one?"
5 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy is everbody talking about Obama and Ayers?
Obama was 8 years old when Ayers committed his crime. He is now a professor at a prestigious university, and is on charitable boards. Obama happened to be on the same board, and was introduced to Ayers through another professor. Why is he accused of palling around with terrorists for this, yet nobody minds that Palin's HUSBAND was a member of an organization that has called the authority of the US government illegal and has advocated seceding from the union? Neither Ayers nor Obama have said they were more than minor acquaintances, and all major news organizations have confirmed that, yet nobody minds that McCain has said that he is proud to be friends with G. Gordon Liddy who spent years in prison for his involvement in Watergate and has called for people to shoot federal agents in the head since they will be wearing body armor. Its obvious the McCain campaign is desperate and will use anything, but why do people go along with it?
24 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy doesn't McCain support the troops?
He is running on his military background, yet one of the largest veteran advocacy groups gave him a D on his support for veteran causes.(one of only 4 Senators to get such a low grade). Obama got a B in case you're wondering. This is a non-partisan group also.

2 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhy is the McCain campaign so childish?
In this time of economic hardship, two wars, etc, shouldn't they be more concerned about the issues?
Story about tonight's debate:
"McCain, 72, will try to leaven his attacks with humor, said Republican campaign aides, some of whom plan to wear cufflinks with a mock Obama presidential seal."
5 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhen looking at ammunition, does a higher grain mean more velocity?
For example. I just bought some 8mm Mauser ammo, and it says it is 150 grain. Does that mean it has a smaller bullet than 196 grain ammo, and therefore higher velocity?
15 AnswersHunting1 decade agoWhy is McCain now all of a sudden for regulating wall street?

4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIn your opinion, which is least patriotic?
Not wearing a flag pin on your lapel (as Republicans are quick to point out that Obama didn't do on several occasions) or being part of a group that wants your state to succeed from the union (as Palin was). I'm thinking that one is inconsequential, and the other is borderline treasonous...what do you think?

4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoI have a question about handguns?
For concealed carry:
I'm trying to decide between the Sig P239 and the Glock 26. The Glock is a little cheaper, but I've heard great things about the sigs. Which would you pick, and why? Thanks.

shouldn't they vote for him, so he'll get into power and then Jesus will come back?
26 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoFor those who take the story of Noah literally?
how do you reconcile the fact that so much of the story is either impossible, or there is no evidence? For example, a boat that big, made out of wood would not be able to float. There is no geological evidence of a world wide flood (which would be very evident). There is not enough water to flood the entire planet. The ark would not be big enough to hold the millions of species of animals, not to even mention the amount of food necessary to keep them fed. If the earth had been flooded to that extent the atmosphere would be so saturated with water vapor that humans (and animals) would not be able to breath. I'm not trying to insult anybody, but I'm curious what your thoughts are regarding this.
26 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs empty space made up of anything?
In other words, the space between planets, moons, etc, it is just empty space, or is it made up of something? The reason I'm asking is I was wondering...if the universe is expanding, what is beyond the edge of the universe? Is it empty space (like that found within the universe) or is it something else?
