I m having trouble understanding the Trinity concept and have for some time now. I m led to believe that Jesus and God are one in the same (God in human form). My logical brain is not grasping this this and questions: How can the Son be the Father?

Furthermore: If Jesus is God, why would he sacrifice his self to pay the debt of sins for human kind. One would think that God the creator of all if he so desired would merely make it so that we are free from sin just from his pure will and infinite power.

Please help me understand. Perhaps I m missing something or there is an issue with interpretation.

I was born into a Roman Catholic family. I followed Paganism/Witchcraft until recently and have been looking for a potential denomination to follow. I seem to be leaning into the Anglican/Episcopalian path, but I also have great interest in gnostic teachings that were left out of the main stream bible. I've tried searching online to no real avail in finding a church. Any respectable and welcoming input?

I live with my ex. We moved in pretty quickly, and were dating for about 6 months. To make a long story short she cheated on me with my brother, I had to find out the hard way. Since then we have become best of friends, we still sleep in the same bed, and do everything together. We've had sex a couple of times since the break up. She knows that I still love her and I do want her back. Her family loves me, and my dad loves her, which makes things seem like we should be together. She says that she doesn't want a relationship and she doesn't want to live like her past lifestyle. And yet I always know that she is talking to other dudes via phone/text/im/myspace. I only know that because sometimes I go through her phone. It's so frustrating because I cant let her go, and I have no idea if she is seeing these people on her days off. Logically this girl is no good for me, but my anxieties hold me back, and I just love this girl even after all the **** she put me through. Am I just f**k'd up in the head.
