hey! so im going to the beach with my friends, the trouble is i just got my period yesterday, todays thursday night and im going on saturday so its still pretty heavy, im planning on using a normal absorbancy tampon,

but, we're leaving at 6:30 arriving probably at around 8 in the morning, and staying until night most likely,

and i know tampons are supposed to be changed out every 6-8 hrs. . . so if i take it out, cn i put another one in? cuz i thought if u surpass 8 hrs then u might get theshock syndrome. . . please help! thanks

so this whole mess started a few months ago, i let my friend borrow my ipod and she hasnt given it back ever since. . . i asked for it once in a while but shed just ask for more time with it so id say ok, i mean, id just say "well i just have itunes on my computer . . . so whats the harm in letting her have a bit more time with it?" well, yesterday my class to a trip and on the bus she lost it. i didnt find out until after of course, and i got kinda upset. of course i didnt yell or get mad at her or anything! i tried to be as nice as i could. . . but its just that kinda betrayed my trust you know? but its alright, accidents happen, and i basically said that to her, so i just asked her to replace it, or give me the money back. the thing is, shes kinda tight on money at the moment, apparently some family issues. . . im alright with that. . . so i'm just gonna ask her to pay me back slowly . . . maybe 10 bucks a week? i think thats fair isn't it? you see i dont want to come across as stingy or anything, shes a rlly close friend, but im going to get in a lot of trouble with my parents! they dont know she lost it and theyd get mad at ME haha you know how they are! see the reason i got upset is because i knew if i lost one of her things, shed demand the money back. . . we always joke how shes so frugal you know?

and i know shes short on cash so i dont want to be mean, but my question is

do you think im being mean? i just want my money back so i dont get into a lot of trouble! and im not mad at her/i dont want this to ruin our friendship! i just think shes trying to always avoid/change the subject whenever i bring it up .. . what should i do?

do you think 10 dollars a week is good? i htink thats pretty afordable dont you?

Hi! how r u? hope ur having a great start to summer of 2011! wel, anyways, im going to wear a 2 peice bathing suit, and im a girl obviously. . . but theres a problem, i have a lot of hair on my back and stomach I KNOW ITS EMBARASSING, so i want to take it off! i have nair's shower power which i was comtemplating using, the trip's on tuesday and i was going to wait until tomorrow night so i wont get stubbles, but is it safe to use on back/stomach? will it leave stubbles? ingrown hairs?

i have a home waxingthing, the type u heat on top of the stove? i was going to use that on my back ... but will it rip off my skin/give me ingrown hairs? will it hurt a lot? haha and i DONT want to shave, i got a ton of razorbumps/ingrown hairs when i shaved my arms/legs, so thank you! any imput would help!

I see all these teen writers in magazines/books . . . I really do enjoy writing, so I wanted to know how I would go about joining things like that. I'm a 14 year old girl, and I stumbled upon Teen Ink in the library a while ago. Right now, I went to their website, and I saw the "Submit" button. So I was wondering, in YOUR opinion, do you think I should submit some work to them? Short stories mostly, I have a lot I could send. And my second question, what is the best way to go about getting a teen writing job for a magazine. I don't know if I would be a successful writer, so I'm just experimenting, seeing if I get something put somewhere would be a great start! Hi guys! I'm a 14 year old girl and I have a problem. . . yup im that girl in my class whos called "the twig" cuz i literally have only skin and bones .. . recently at a doctor i got my weight and height im 61 inches and exactly 100 pounds . . . checking my BMI im fine, but I still look really really skinny! people r always tellingme to eat and i eat fine . . . i actually eat a lot haha, but for some reason my ribs poke out, and i could literally stab someone with my hip bones (not that i would lol) . . . whats funny though is that the best part of my body is my legs . . .theyre long and well-shaped (im not being cocky! i just am rlly confident about them!) and also, if you look at my face, i have really plump cheeks, so i come across as a baby-faced girl . . .but now on to the point, is there anyway that i can gain weight? mostly in the rib area, a few curves wouldnt hurt either haha, i know its going to be hard, but i really want to try! i was thinking about joining a gym . . but i have no idea what to eat/what excersises! well, if it helps, my older sister is very skinny too, and my mom said when she was my age, she was my size too. . . i'm an active runner and im going to start up swimming again soon . . . and im persian if ethnicity helps! thanks a lot! oh and one more thing . . . . well, its kinda embarrasing to say, but i have a trip with my class next week to a water/regular ride park, im going in both . . . but i'm really self concious about my bathing suit, its not a bikini, but its a two peice, and my ribs show . .. i really feel kinda ugly when compared to all the curvy and more meaty girls in my class! they have such great bodies! i dont know what to do!

now this is the REALLY embarrasing part, i also have some back acne . . . i got help and visited a derm. but its still not compleetely healed, its mostly on back, my face and chest are pretty clear, but theres a lot of scarring and two or three pimples . . i have short hair, so do you think it would be such a bad idea if i just went swimming? i mean, do you think anyone would laugh at me? i wear tank tops sometimes (only with close friends) and they say its alright . . . but im still scared!

My brother recently brought home a guide dog about 2 days ago. He claims that we (his family) can't play with the dog for at least a week a two. But he lets us pet him sometimes. Whenever I go near the dog, he gets happy, not too excited just wagging his tail and licking my hand, seeking attention. But at this point my brother asks me to leave the room and calms the dog down. I don't know what to do, I am trying to be supportive but the dog looks so bored all the times and even tries to come near me sometimes. He seems calm , I mean he gets excited but he looks so bored when hes cooped up, only allowed to play with my brother

I am doing a project on the "1896 Currency Debate" and I have been researching for a few weeks now. But I feel like an idiot, because every time I read one of the fancy economic articles, my mind goes numb, and then blank for a few minutes. So I have a question. What does it mean to "back up" the United States dollar in the first place? Please spell it out for me. If we were "backing up the dollar with silver ...would it be any difference if it was being backed up by gold? And would the paper money still be used, but symbolize these metals? Or is it something else? Please help! Also, is it true that the Democrats wanted Silver, and the Republicans wanted Gold? I have thick, black hair with dark redish highlights,

i have a fringe, and choppy layers, kinda wispy at the ends.

My hair is medium length, past my shoulders a little.

The trouble is i get REALLY frizzy, hair, and it tangles REALLY easily, i learned not to

wash hair more than about 4 or 3 times a week, so i do

i condition too, and my hair is mostly wavy on one side, and a little straighton the other,

though its always really frizzy, i, DONT, blowdry, OR use heat, such a straighteners, or curling irons,

and i use absolutely no products, since ppl say it is rlly bad for your hair.

so im asking, PLZ PLZ PLZ, tell me how to get my hair friz free,

and maybe some products i can use, ...if it helps i live in northern nj

so any products u say, plz make it so i can buy locally....

also, the ends of my hair always stick out, like in a u-shape, at the ends, they curve

outwards, even when i try to straighten, i can never get the ends straight, do u know why?

My friends and I, are at an average of 13, we go out a lot, but the problem is we have no where to go!

We just end up at the park, which wasn't bad the first trillion times, now we just want something else

to do besides walk around the park, go get ice cream, and go to the movies.

And we've already considered and heard about doing all of the scrap book things,

we want nothing really to do at home, something outdoors, please don't say nature walk.

we live in a really small town, Nothing to do with the pool either, we need some good ideas please! Thanks a lot!

I have windows Vista. My audio always worked fine, I have external speakers, as well as internal ones, and sometimes I use headphones, all three of these usually work. Up till earlier today everything was working fine, then, I installed an update to my Logtech webcam, and now my speakers won't work! It's extremely frustrating because everything is turned up, the audio on my external speakers is turned up, the little audio button on the bottom right of my screen is turned up as well. And, everytime I play a video, such as on youtube, I make sure that the audio button on the video is turned up. I've tried restarting my computer, leaving it off for a few minutes, unplugging, and replugging my headphones, AND my external speakers, making sure all wires are in good condition. I've tried right clicking the little audio icon on the lower right of the screne and clicking "playback devices," ..everything is enabled and working properly, when I click test it works fine too! and I've also tried going into control panel and into audio device, everything is there. Plz help! I don't know what to do!

my SD card with the adapter was working fine, perfect, then I went out one day and decided to take a picture on my DSI and then send it to my friend on a laptop (acer) I myself have an HP and had previously used the SD card only on the HP desktop at home, so i took a few pictures on my DSI and put them on the SD card, then I put it into the Acer laptop and it started getting messages for problems, It said I needed to format it so I said Ok, I used all of the defaults which was FAT and default everything else, now when I pressed ok it said Windows Cannot Complete The Format or something along those lines, so I thought that maybe it can only work with one computer, so I took the card back home and put it into the HP desktop, Vista, now it kept saying that the card was "Read-Only" no the slide is not on lock, I can't change it, and it still won't let me format it, so what should I do? Please help me, best answer gets 10 points,

Is there any way to get read-only off? By the way if this helps I tried the Acer laptop a few minutes ago again and it said that it was online, not Read-Only, so its only the desktop out of those computers I've tried, and Yes, im using an adapter, it came with the card i didnt buy it seperately so ya it works its called Transcend Micro SD ADApter

Hello, my DSI wifi connection works perfectly with the DSI Web Browser, but for some reason when I tried the Mario Kart WFC, it keeps getting errors that it's not a compatable access point or no access point in range, and yes I am standing near the router. I use a wireless connection and it keeps saying its not configures right, please help! Thank you in advance.

I was messing around with my computer, because the speakers are internal and are on the back of my computer (desktop, Windows Vista) So they have very low sound, I searched google and found someone who said go to Control Panel>Sounds and Configure the Sounds Device that is working. (Realtech for Me) So I did, and there were a few different options like, Sterio, Surround Sound 1..something like that so I switched it to Surround Sound and then this little window popped up saying something like "If you continue this device may not work properly" Stupidly I pressed yes, now when I test the speakers on control Panel they work, however if I go on youtube or any other site and try to watch a video or listen to music, it doesnt work! Please help me! Thanks to anyone who has any suggestions!

P.S. When I go to the status of the driver it says that this device is working properly.

So to review, How do I get my internal speakers on my computer to work again? The volume on my computer is on 100 and I still cannot hear anything. Thank You!
