What's a good book for someone looking to study Number Theory specifically for RSA Algorithms?
I plan to write a paper on this, but I'm not sure exactly how to distinguish which book is right for me. I have little knowledge of number theory, so I would want something that is easily accessible. My question might be too specific; so how about, "Where would you guys look to buy a math book?"
2 AnswersBooks & Authors6 years agoHow can I prepare for a 6 week Single Variable Calculus II Course (Curriculum in description)?
I have nothing to do during summer vacation (after junior year) and decided to register for a calculus course at a city college. The curriculum includes, "Differentiation and integration of trigonometric, exponential, logarithmic, hyperbolic functions, polar, and parametric equations; applications and techniques of integration; indeterminate forms and infinite sequences and series." The fact that this class is only six weeks makes me nervous and so I want to be as prepared as possible. If there is anything in AP Calculus AB that I should review, it would be helpful to point out. Also, should I review limits and Epsilon-Delta proofs? I thank you in advance.
1 AnswerMathematics6 years agoDo you know of any composers (preferably modern) who utilize the style of polyphonic gregorian chant in their music? Musical Pieces?
I've recently been introduced to Arvo Pärt and I have been looking for sacred music that is slow and polyphonic. If anything, I would love to find something that is like György Ligeti's music in many regards.
5 AnswersClassical6 years agoAnybody know of some good Classical Music for a fan of Allan Holdsworth, Frank Zappa and John Mclaughlin?
There is something about Allan that makes me love his music so much! It takes some listening to, but I am always amazed by how unique he is! I feel in love with 'Hard Hat Area' and 'Sand'! Zappa's music is wonderful as well and I love Dog Breath Variations and much of his Classical Album 'The Yellow Shark'. I love most all of his other works and especially Joe's Garage. With John there is not one thing I don't like, really! Everything on 'Vision is a Naked Sword' is Wonderful! There is not one song I don't like on any album with the orchestra although I have mixed opinions about a couple on 'Inner Worlds'. I am also a big time Jean Luc Ponty, Rush, Miles David, Al di Meola, Tony Williams and Bill Bruford fan! I also love Edgar Varese! I also like Igor Stravinsky! I also fell in love with Jean Luc-Ponty's Avant Garde album 'King Kong'!
1 AnswerClassical7 years agoWhere can I find Good Cinematic Noir Jazz?
I very much enjoy the score of Taxi Driver by Bernard Herrmann and I also love the theme of L.A. Noire by Andrew Hale, but I haven't found much of this genre. I am currently trying to add to my very small playlist. Any suggestions are much appreciated and as a side note, I enjoy much of Avante Garde, Jazz Fusion, Bebop, Classical & Progressive. Thank You.
