Does anybody know of any Baroque Composers who would be well appreciated by me, a fan of modern classical music?

Update:

I am a huge fan of Iannis Xenakis, György Ligeti and John Cage.

I also enjoy listening to Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Pierre Boulez, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Olivier Messaien, Igor Stravinsky, Edgard Varèse and Béla Bartók.

Vivaldi and Boccherini are two good Baroque composers

You might enjoy the music of the Bohemian Baroque composer Jan Dismas Zelenka. His music is quite 'off the wall' for the period and never less than fascinating to listen to. Also try the music of Heinrich Biber (eg his 'Battle') and the rustic music of Joseph Bodin de Boismortier.

Most young people find the many concertos of Vivaldi to be very enjoyable. The "Brandenburg Concertos" (6) by JS Bach and Handel's "Water Music" and "Royal Fireworks Music" also delight younger people.

Those would be my same suggestions; basically anything by Bach, Handel's "Messiah" and Vivaldi's "4 seasons"

JS Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi are some good ones. I like Bach the most of those three.
