  • Someone at work treats me like her servant.?

I am an admin asst in my dept. A woman from another (sister) dept in another building called me and asked if I could go upstairs to her dept and get her interoffice mail that she had not picked up for a month. I said I could not leave the desk & phone but if she would call upstairs and arrange for someone to bring her stuff down, I would gladly bring it to her the next day in another building that we both work at. She asked if I could take care of that, and I said I was really busy with clients at the desk and she should call. SHE HUNG UP ON ME!

The next day, when I work in the same building as her, I went to pick up her outgoing mail. She asked "Did you get my stuff?" I started to say no, it was really busy, and she said "Please leave now! Will you please just leave now?" Which I did, but I don't feel like going back in that office. I am supposed to pick up the outgoing mail and deliver any mail that comes to them. I normally don't mind doing things for people but this woman treats me like her servant. She expected me to empty her shredder and keep her copier filled with paper. She wanted me to fix her printer when it acted up even though I said that IT should help her as I am unfamiliar with her printer. (I call IT for our printer) I asked her if she had a mail key for the days I am not in that office and she shuffled around her drawer and pulled out a key and then said she could not be bothered getting the mail. She even hassled me about the outgoing mail at first, placing the box in the far side of the room so I would have to walk through the whole room to see if there was any ooutgoingmail rather than having it right by the door. What is with her, how do I react to her? I have dealt with many people but this one goes against my grain. BTW, I am older than her, I am not a young person just starting out that she can push around. How do I tell her I do not want to be treated like a servant?

  • New York State question about pregnant minor?

My son posed this question to me so I am forwarding it to Yahoo answers for some opinions:

A 15 year old girl is possibly knocked up by a 17 year old (they are both happy and excited for this). He is leaveing soon for basic training in the army, and says he can set up an account to send his money back for her. So my one question is, he claims he told the recruter about it and theres no problem with it. But wouldn't there be a problem if shes only 15?

Second, this girls father thinks that if she is knocked up, its the boys responsibility to support her which relieves him of haveing to pay child support. Thats not right is it? Hes responsible for her till shes 18 no matter what happens?

  • Can I wear mixed earrings?

I have so many single earrings that have lost mates. I only have my ears pierced once - can I wear different earrings in each ear or would that look really weird? I would wear complementary ones, like a pearl hoop and a single pearl, things like that, not totally different earrings. Please give me your opinion. I do NOT want any more piercings in my ears! Thank you.

  • Food chemistry question - burnt INSIDE pie crust?

I picked up a deli chicken pot pie to go, already warmed. When I got home and cut it, the INSIDE of the crust was burnt, scorched black! The outside was dark, at first I though it might have been a whole wheat crust. How did it burn from the inside out? Was it microwaved? The filling was typical peas carrots and large chunks of chicken. Not very saucy since it was dried out. How did this happen?

The store, btw, has more than compensated me for my purchase, they are not happy about it either.

  • Did Frosty the Snowman ever come back to life?

A local news station had that as a trivia question, actually "Who brought Frosty back to life?" The answer was Santa Claus, but no where in the song lyrics does it mention that. Have you ever heard of that, maybe from a movie or something?

Just noticed during the debate, McCain was constantly blinking as he made a statement. Does this have any meaning, like he is or is not being truthful? Or are his eyes just sensitive to the light?

  • How can you make a pair of pants smaller?

I bought a used set, jacket and pants. The jacket is fine, size 16. But the pants are size 18 and I am more of a size 14. When I tried them on, they were really big in the body to crotch part. I know how to hem them for length, but what is the best way to size down the upper area.?

  • Does anyone remember when Wal-Mart first opened?

I thought in their advertising that everything they sold was made in the USA? Was this the case early on? Or am I thinking of another place? Have you ever heard this concept, and would you support a store that sold only USA made items, even if they were more expensive?
