Are there any instruments that have the exact same fingering that a clarinet does?
I've been playing clarinet for 7 years, and I really want to branch out into other instruments, however I briefly played Saxophone and couldn't handle the different fingering for notes - in the sense that I had trouble working out which was which in my head when playing.
Was wondering if anyone knew of any instruments not in the clarinet family, with reasonable availability, that has the same 12-note finger pattern.
2 AnswersPerforming Arts7 years agoWhat are some examples of polymers?
Looking for biologica polymers - and if you have any can you tell me whether they are carbohydrates, proteins or nucleic acids or any other categories they fit.
Also, if there is any can you specify any polymers that take part in blood glucose regulation?
thankyou in advance! :)

I have an image saved in my documents of a banner I created, I would like to use this image as my signature on a forum site. Unfortunately, the box for signatures is text only. I know you can get pictures because lots of people have them - but I don't know how to make a code for it or something?

2 AnswersInfectious Diseases9 years agoI need help with how to climax/orgasm.?
I recently got a vibrator thing, and I've been using it but cannot bring myself to climax. I'll be honest it's not really a vibrator, but a nail manicure set but it works okay, but not well. I normally use it whilst watching or reading porn and I always get really wet and my legs feel like jelly but I can never orgasm. I've been panting a couple of times but I never feel released afterwards. My clitoris is always swollen after and every time I touch it I get shock wave through my legs and I always feel really unsatisfied after using it.
I'm not sure if it's because I'm doing it wrong or because I'm too young (I'm 15) but I've heard of people younger than me coming to multiple climaxes using only their fingers.
Please help me!
5 AnswersWomen's Health9 years agoSome of my text is being skipped in a spelling and grammar check on word! Help me!?
I'm trying to run a spell check through my thesis (all 87,000 words of it!), but when I do so, it only checks a tiny portion of the text and I get the message: The spelling and grammar check is complete. The text marked with "Do not check spelling or grammar" was skipped.
Clearly, I have inadvertently marked some of the text, but I have no idea how I did this nor how to get rid of it.
I've tried Mircosoft help, but cannot get an answer to my question as it's saying it's offline!
Any ideas on how to unmark the text, so I can run a complete spelling and grammar check? Thanks. It's windows 2010 so none of that stuff about going on tool, then language and select language because it's all different :(
HELPPPP MEEE!! If someone tells me how to give more points then I'll do ten points!
1 AnswerLanguages10 years agoMy friend's dog has died and she isn't coping. What can I do?
My friend (N), has had her dog since her dog (L) was 2. Her dad got L as a guard and as a pet for N so she has literally grown up with her since N was born really. L died this weekend. N is 15 now and L was 18. We all know that L was very old for a dog and she had a long life, but my friend isn't coping at all. She won't talk to anyone and she's all but stopped eating?! She's also walking round in school just crying like non-stop. We've given her plenty of space and said we're here for her but she's just not responding, if we're lucky we get a weak hi when she comes in.
Thing is, a lot of people at our age have lost something before like a previous pet or even a relative but N hasn't. She still has all of her relatives and she's NEVER had anything to grieve over. We're really worried about her because she's normally such a loud excitable girl, a stresshead at times but really bubbly. Now she's not even stressing at us :'(
Can anyone who has been through a similar situation give me advice on helping pull her out it?

4 AnswersYahoo Answers10 years agoHow do I come out as lesbian?
I am a 15 year old lesbian and want to come out to my friends, however some of them are a little homophobic - and the one who I planned to come out to because she's bi, turns out she's not and she was doing it for attention :/ I don't want people to think I'm doing the same as her.
Also, some have my friends have said they don't mind bisexuals but lesbians 'wig them out'. I don't think they'll turn on me but I don't want things to be different so I want a way to come out so that it doesn't seem like too big a thing.
Would it be better to:
♪ A) just come out straight and risk it
♫ B) come out as bi
☼ C) don't tell them as such - just let it be known when I meet new people or if it comes up i conversation and then have my close friends dislike me because I didn't tell them/feel I could trust them...
I don't want to lie, but I don't want to be ostracised or make them feel like I don't trust them by just like being all 'No I'm a lesbian didn't you know? Everybody knows!' etc. :(
HELPPPPP!!!!!
3 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender10 years agoWhat is some evidence for the theories of the non-expanding universe (GSCE level)?
We are planning a debate in class regarding whether the universe is expanding or not, I have plenty of arguments suggesting it is expanding eg Red Shift, gravity weakening etc (although would welcome more) but have almost none suggesting it is in a steady state. Has to be backed up with evidence also :( Help!

1 AnswerChemistry10 years agoIs an acid at 2.5M five times the concentration of the same acid at 0.5M?
We are investigating the reaction between hydrochloric acid and magnesium at school to investigate how concentration affects the rate of reaction. I can't ask my teacher because the coursework is due for tomorrow. I would like to know if the fact that it is 2.5M acid means that it is five times the strength of the same acid of 0.5M or is it worked out differently?
1 AnswerChemistry10 years agoI need simple Halloweeny ideas for a sleepover.?
Hey, I'm gong to a Halloween sleepover thing on the 29th/30th and I'm not sure what to wear. We agreed not to dress up properly as we're mainly staying in and watching scary movies, but we're all going to dress up a little. Like one of my friends is wearing her tutu, and another her fairy wings :) I want to do something kind of original but work with what I've already got. The best I have is some annoying gloves that get in the way, spider-web gloves, a black sequinned tutu and possibly a full witch outfit. I want to do something original though that none of my friends are doing but without properly getting all dressed up like I would if we were going out.

2 AnswersFashion & Accessories10 years agoWhat is my sub-soprano voice range?
I know what my range is and I know I'm a soprano but I want to know what sub-soprano category it falls into, like colouratura, soubrette, spinto etc. I can reach down to G3 and up to B6, and on a good day I can reach F6, but I have to be really belting it and powerfully and warmed up for that :P
I sing mainly operatic and choral pieces, have done arias and soprano solos in different productions. Played Violetta in La Traviata, don't really sing popular music but can do if I want.
I have a powerful voice, but wouldn't call it rich. When singing REALLY high it can be a little shrill but isn't always.
I'm 15 so I guess my voice is still developing but I need properly technical info about my voice for my GCSE commentary. Anything you can tell me will probably help. I appreciate you cant hear my voice so it could be difficult but please try. If absolutely necessary I could put up a video on youtube if I get enough people saying they'd rather hear it... but I'd rather not :P I'm a bit shy x
1 AnswerSinging10 years agoWhat is Adele's (singer) vocal range?
My friend is doing Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain" for her G.C.S.E. performance and needs to know what sort of voice Adele has and what the vocal range of the song is. Specific note range would be good if anyone knows it/has music for it, but otherwise just a voice type will do :)
Thanks x
