I got three different Rates for a Battery at three different Centres , they seem to be selling / Offering the same Brand .

Okla Service Centre - Rs 750 ,

Neb Sarai - Rs 850 ,

GK 1 - Rs 660

This put me into some kind of confusion ( because Branded Products in India sell for a MRP )

Point was whether they could shortchange a "..Reconditioned.." Battery ( in place for a new One ) as it can happen at times - because it makes sense to sell at a MRP - being a service Centre

They showed me two batteries - Amtek ( Dry Battery ) & Amco ( Must be refilled with Water )

Purely by Coincidence I went to different service centres for hero Honda -

First one they quoted some Rs 750 but did not have the battery

Next one they quoted some Rs 850 But I did not purchase the battery - Amco , Amron or Amtek

At GK , they quoted Rs 660 for the same brand - Dry & Water , but again I did not purchase the Battery because I did not know whether to trust them or not

At GK 1 they also insisted that they must charge the battery before sale ...

The RTI reply from Dakshin ASC records (South) dated August 3 puts the record straight that Anna "never deserted" the Army, and that he was "honourably" discharged from the armed forces on completion of the 12 years of his service.

The response following a Delhi-based RTI activist Subhash Chandra Agrawal's plea came a week after Tiwari had made several serious allegations of corruption against Anna. It states that five medals were notified to Anna - Sainya Seva Medal, Nine Years Long Service Medal, Sangram Medal, 25th Independent Anniversary Medal and Paschimi Star - during his tenure with the Army.

Tiwari had said, "Annaji keeps saying that the Indian Army is investigating into his records. A few days ago, the Army received an RTI seeking past records of Anna. The Army wrote to Anna to find if he has any objection against it giving those records to the RTI applicant. Anna has not replied to the Army's query to date." It is very common for middle class people from southern india , to donate / gift a certian amount to dieties in a temple . It is actually very common.

The donations mostly in kind , sometimes in cash , manypeople donated gold ornaments , since very ancient times , when they faced difficult times that has been overcome.This is very common knowledge, it was also common for hindu rulers to donate their treasures to temples. Many rich people in southern india are known to donate golden jewellary & diamond to temples.

The one and only consideration is cost- India is cheaper. those who've worked with Indian teams make it clear that outsourced teams produce significantly worse team. there is complete lack of communication, or because the loads of (not all) coders / IT Professionals & programmers in India are grossly incompetent. Code that barely works and has to be checked multiple times is nothing to gloat about. Companies who outsource tend to see large drops in quality. Now some idiot will ask why Americans outsource if it's so bad: short term rewards. You see, shareholders like to see a drop in costs. Outsourcing immediately drops costs, but the drop in quality takes time to show. As a result, it seems (for a while) that outsourcing has reduced prices with no detriments. It may not seem this way, but I am a proud Indian and it makes me sad when it's common knowledge that Indian code is subpar. Indian people aren't stupid or incapable, but this complacency about being the "IT hub of the word! Herpaderp!" while churning out trash hurts the reputation of India and Indians.

Coimbatore: A sessions court in Coimbatore acquitted Kerala-based People's Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasser Madani, in the 1998 serial bomb blasts case, but found S A Basha guilty.

Basha, the founder of the al-Umma, a suspected Muslim terror outfit, was found guilty of "criminal conspiracy" and transporting bombs in the 1998 serial bomb blasts case.

Of the 14 accused in the blasts case, 13 people have been convicted. Madani was the only one who has been acquitted.

The judgment of the special court in the city, which began on Wednesday, comes almost nine years after 12 blasts ravaged the city.

It was on February 14, 1998 when hundreds had gathered in Coimbatore during the election campaign visit of senior BJP leader L K Advani that bombs went off at 12 different places in the city, including the rally site, killing 58 people.

Advani, who was to speak at the rally, was saved as his flight from Thiruvananthapuram was delayed by three hours.

It was the second time that terror had struck the city and left 58 dead and over 200 were injured in the 40 minutes that shook Coimbatore.

Investigations blamed the al-Umma and the Jehad committee for carrying out these attacks.

By 2002, 166 people were facing trial including Basha and Madani.

Mahdani, lodged in Coimbatore Jail for the past eight years, had sought bail from Madras High Court on health grounds and was given special facilities when the M Karunanidhi government came to power in Tamil Nadu in May last year.

I remember this as i used to study Engg in a college in Coimbatore during that time.it is really horrible to see blasts followed for a week and a terror striken city.Coimbatore lost its development oppurtunities a lot because of this blast and clashes.
