  • Why do I get "a disk error occurred during a read operation" when opening a Flash FLA file I opened previously?

Why do I get "a disk error occurred during a read operation" when opening a Flash FLA file I opened previously? I opened just a few moments before. Then I closed the file and opened the Flash project file and try to open it from there, but it had a lock next to it. So I clicked "Check out", and then couldn't open it. So I clicked "Check In" and it connected to the Site and asked if i wanted to replace the local copy with the remore copy, i said yes and it still gave the same error message. What happened? I opened Dreamweaver and saw that the site definition does not have Check In/Out activated. I even restored a backup from three days earlier from my web server and I still get the read error.

    What's going on here?

I use this FLA file for a friends web site, I need it. http://www.pjcii.net/test/flash/home.fla

  • Which brand/model DVD/DVR recorder can completely replicate the VCR programming feature with HD/DTV channels?

What brand/model DVD or DVR recorder can record many shows from many channels using either a HD/DTV tuner or connected to HDTV - using just my HDTV antennae (I do not pay for TV)?

I want to record my TV shows just like I did with my VCR, exactly, no changes. Meaning, with my VCR I could program it to record my shows from many channels, any day of the week, at any time. I'm finding, to my horror, that many DVR or VCR/DVD combo recorders have serious issues with being to *completely* replicate the VCR programming features. Especially watching and recording or recording shows from different channels on the same day. Which brand/model DVD/DVR recorder can completely replicate the VCR programming features with HD/DTV channels?

  • What is true communism?

I always believed that Communism focused on community rather than the individual so I have always wanted to know more about it. However opposing social systems tend to viciously misrepresent it. So I've heard the term "True Communism" before and wanted to what is Communism, truthfully? Is is the same as or different from Socialism?

  • 42 questions in the Osirian Ritual

I'm reading about early religions and wanted to know more about the 42 questions in the Osirian Ritual. Supposedly it tells how all we should act in order to be called for reincarnation.

  • Can one work for Target & own stock for both Target & Wal-mart?

I have part of my check invested into the Target stock and the Stable Fund. But this not actual stock, I have no certificate. I was wondering since i work at Target and part of my paycheck is vested in the company can I also buy Wal-mart stock as well? Is that conflict of interest? Or does COI only apply to employment?

  • what happens if the land a mortgaged condo is on is sold, and the landowner wants to build a mall, hotel, etc?

For example, you bought a condo with a 30 yr mortgage, and 10 years later the property owner sells the property to a big developer for billions. The developer now wants to level the condos and build a giant mall complex, what happens? Do you still have to pay the remaining 20yrs? Do they *have to* buy your condo at full mortgage value? What if they bought it at market rate, and it's lower then what you signed for?

What actually happens in this scenario?

Keep in mind know nothing of real estate, so I may facts wrong.
