SO ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND AND 11 MONTH OLD SON MOVED INTO A TWO BEDROOM APARTMENT AND WE ARE ALSO EXPECTING. UPON MOVING IN WE NOTICED THAT THERE WAS LEAKING IN OUR BATHROOM WHICH CAUSED A HUGE BULGE IN THE CEILING ABOVE THE SHOWER HEAD ALONG WITH A CRACK AS WELL AS OUR KITCHEN WINDOW LEAKING EVERY TIME IT RAINS. WE NOTIFIED THE MAINTENANCE AND AFTER IT TOOK NEARLY TWO WEEKS OF PHONE CALLS AND CONSTANTLY CALLING MAINTENANCE UNTIL THEY FINALLY CAME OUT AND FIXED THE BULGE AND SAID THEY FIXED THE WINDOW FROM THE OUTSIDE. EVEN STILL THEY HALF DID THE BATHROOM ONLY PUTTING UP DRY WALL AND PLASTER OVER THE CRACKS AND NOW THOSE ARE STARTING TO BUBBLE UP FROM THE MOISTURE FROM THE SHOWER. THE NEXT TIME IT RAINED WATER STILL LEAKED ONTO OUR KITCHEN FLOORS AND WALLS CAUSING OUR WOOD FLOORS TO WEPT AND BULGE UP AND BUBBLES IN OUR WALLS. WE NOTIFIED THEM AGAIN AND STILL AFTER A WEEK AND A HALF STILL HAVEN'T EVEN CAME OUT TO ASSESS THE ISSUE. WHEN MY GIRLFRIEND WENT TO THE LEASING OFFICE TO GET SOME TYPE OF ANSWERS THEY TOLD HER THAT OUR APARTMENT HAD MOLD AND THEY ARE JUST NOW NOTIFYING US OF THIS AFTER A MONTH AND A HALF OF ALREADY RESIDING HERE. PER OUR LEASING AGREEMENT THEY HAVE UP TO 48 HRS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. OUR SON HAS BEEN SICK AND WE WILL BE TAKING HIM TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM TO FIND OUT THE CAUSE. I CAN'T SEE HOW OUR APARTMENT PASSED INSPECTION BEFORE OUR MOVE IN DATE WITH ALL OF THESE ISSUES. SHOULD I CONTINUE TO PAY THE RENT? HOW WOULD WE TAKE THEM TO COURT?

OUR SON HAS BEEN SICK BECAUSE OF THE LEAKING AND NOW WE REALIZE THE SOURCE OF HIM BEING SICK MAY BE THE MOLD. I CAN'T SEE HOW OUR APARTMENT PASSED INSPECTION BEFORE OUR MOVE IN DATE WITH ALL OF THESE ISSUES.

So I recently purchased a car from a used private seller who advertised that he does cash cars and all his cars come with safety and inspection. When I came to purchase the car the car had minor damages that he told me in the messages such as a small crack in the window, and a tune up also leaking power steering fluid. When I purchased the car we agreed that I would make payments. I put 2,800 down and agreed to pay the rest of the 2,200 off. As time went on I started to notice little things about the car and realized that he sold me the car for more than it was worth. not only did he not give me the inspection papers but also little things he failed to mention prevents it from passing inspection such as brakes, seatbelts, and odometer doesn't work. what should be the next action I should take because I feel like I shouldn't be making anymore payments on the vehicle because its not worth the $5,000 he priced it at. I also got a quote on kelly blue book and they priced it well below what I even put down. KBB priced the vehicle at 2,215
