I'm currently involved with a project at my university and we're look for ways to get the facts out to middle school and high aged kids about prescription drug abuse. I definitely want to do more than just going into their health class and lecturing them about it (because we all know how effective that is, right?) Could anyone give me any ideas on fun or hands on ways to get this information out, or to make it stick at least? It would be greatly appreciated!

I've been accepted to both and I can't figure out which one I want to attend. I plan on majoring in Biology and going the pre-med route, and going to medical school. I'd like a nice campus feel, as I'm going to be living on campus. I'm certainly not going to move 4 hours from home and have get an apartment straight out of high school.

So my main questions are:

Which has a generally better campus?

Which has a stronger pre-med program? (Which school should I attend that will give me a better chance at getting into medical school?)

Which city is better? I've been to Cleveland but only around the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame area. I haven't fully explored the city. And I've never been to Akron.

Which has a better study abroad program? Studying abroad is definitely something I'd love to do at some point, especially to Hispanic countries.

Which has overall better academics?

Let me start by saying I know this is a little long and I'm sorry, but please read!! I'm desperate for help/advice!

So I'm in high school (freshman) and so is my crush and I got a crush on him because I always caught him looking at me and he would do little things like try to be near me and stuff. You know how when someone likes you, you just kind of know? Like you get a feeling? Well that's what happened. And my interest grew and now I have a huge crush on him. I think he's really shy though. My friends who have talked to him all say he's shy and he just seems shy.

Well, I'm friends with his best friends girlfriend, right? And I told her to casually mention to her boyfriend (Jonathan) that I like Zach (my crush) in hopes that Jon will tell Zach and Raena (my friend and Jon's girlfriend) said that he told him.

I've tried so hard all year to get Zach to notice that I like him too, and I think he suspected it but never did anything. Now it's confirmed and he still hasn't done anything, and now he won't even look at me.

He's shy. I can tell. Everyone says he is, he doesn't talk much in class (but he has A LOT of friends because he's on the football team) and shyness can usually be a sign of low confidence and I noticed how he always walks with one or both hands in his pockets and I googled "Body language for hands in pockets" and everything I clicked on said "It can usually mean that the person is insecure or uncomfortable or unhappy with their appearance". He's SO freaking adorable though! And he has so many friends, I don't know why on earth he would be shy or insecure but I think he is (and I would always let him know he's PERFECT if he would just give me a chance!) and anyways, I think maybe he thinks I'm messing with him or something because I'm really shy too and if someone told me they liked me, I would honestly think it was a joke. I've had a crush on Zach all year though and before I got around to dropping hints, I made damn sure that he almost certainly liked me.

I just wish I could talk to him without scaring him away or upsetting him.

Any advice? Again I'm so sorry this is so long but I had to tell all info, so thank you SO much of you read it all!! 10 points and I'll answer yours! PLEASE HELP!

The legal definition of marriage is: The formal union of a man and a woman, typically recognized by law, by which they become husband and wife. (This is obviously because of what the bible says)

And the definition of family is: A group consisting of parents and children living together in a household (notice how any mentioning of a heterosexual married couple wasn't in there)

The 14th Amendment guarantees all citizens equal protection of the law (which includes freedom of religion and in case you haven't noticed, gay people and couples are also citizens of the United States). And the freedom of religion is a constitutionally guaranteed right provided in the religion clauses of the 1st Amendment (notice that it says nothing about the freedom to take your beliefs and force them on others)

How the hell can we have freedom of religion in this country if people are denying gay couples the right to be married because of what the bible says? THAT is what should be illegal, considering it goes against the constitution.

And let me just add that marriage was around long before the bible was even written.

So... With that being said, can you please tell me what marriage has to do with religion?

Okay. So I'm a lesbian. I'm attracted to girls on a sexual level and only girls. I look at guys like a straight girl would look at other girls and think "she's pretty" but not be ATTRACTED to them.

But I think I fell in love with my guy friend and its weird. He's had a HUGE crush in me since 6th grade and I found out in 8th because one of his friends decided to tell me for some reason and he was embarrassed beyond belief because he's really shy. I hadn't ever talked to him before this, and I didn't want him to think I hated him or something because everyone knew I was gay, so I just became his friend. Just recently though, have we become a lot closer.

And...

I'm beginning to become sexually attracted to him but I'm not... I don't know. And i don't know what to do about it. I'm confused. I've always only been attracted to girls ever since I can remember.

Am I bi? He's the only guy I've ever felt like this with.

So, I have a crush on this guy. I always catch him staring at me, but he just looks away quickly. I think he's shy, but I think he likes me too.

One day a few weeks ago, we had an assembly at school. There was 3 open seats next to me, and of course, 3 guys needed a place to sit. One of them was my crushes friend (my crush wasn't around us though) and the guy had to sit next to me. He looked at me and said "No, I'm not sitting there!"

He eventually sat down and didn't say another word. But like I said, he's my crushes friend.

Ad anther time, in study hall, I looked at my crush every once in a while, and I wasn't paying attention to the guy next to him, who apparently thought I was looking at him, and probably said something to my crush like "She keeps staring at me..." and then started scooting his chair back away from the table and behind a pole, like he didn't want me to look at him, even though this guy looks like a gorilla and is constantly staring at me now.

So I'm just thinking... Is my crush embarrassed to like me? I think he likes me because he's always looking at me, he seems to get nervous when I'm nearby, and I don't know, but I think he avoids me in the halls sometimes...

Sorry this is so long, but I just want to know. It hurts my feelings to think that he's embarrassed to like me because he thinks his friends will tease him or think he's gross for liking me.

And is the reason it's called "pro-choice" because "anti-life" sounds a bit harsh and not because its a woman's choice? I guess either could work, apparently.

So which are you? And why?

I don't believe that we are the only people in the WHOLE UNIVERSE. Or maybe they're not even people, maybe they look like ET, but something else exists out there. Why else would god create the entire universe if it was just to support us.

Lol, so I sent my crush a message on Facebook, an I know damn good and well he's seen it, but he never replied. Kind of embarrassing. I thought about sending him a message saying that I forgot to log out of Facebook on my friends phone, and that she sent him the message and that I had just now seen it.

I'm 14 turning 15 in 3 months and I'm 5'2. I'm trying to lose weight. I weight 198 pounds and my goal weight is 110. I want to lose this weight as quickly as possible without it being unhealthy, so it's going to take me around 11 months to reach my goal weight. I have a calories deficit of 933. I was wondering how many calories I should eat a day?
