  • Your own religion says that there are multiple paths to truth, so why do you insist otherwise?

The prophet Micah says (verse 6:8):

"O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"

It is clear from this verse that God values proper behavior -- that is, the pursuit of justice and mercy -- rather than a very narrow religious belief or approach to God.

My fellow Jews and I understand that Judaism is not the only path to truth, and that one can pursue the religion of one's choosing provided that one follow the basic laws of morality (the seven Noahide laws).

So, to the various Christians out there,.... why do contradict the teachings of the prophet Micah and insist that God wants everyone to believe in Jesus and, more puzzling, that this belief takes precedence over the pursuit of justice and mercy?

  • Why the insensitivity?

This forum provides an excellent opportunity for interfaith dialogue and understanding. Why is it that so many of the questions and answers are intended to offend or to disprove the beliefs of others?
