  • What is this insect and what is it's purpose?

Found an insect I've never seen before and I have no clue what it could possibly be. It looks like a bite from it would HURT.

It's length is almost, if not, the height of a standard brick (As seen in the photo)! When it spreads it's wings; it has two extra underlying ones, that are almost transparent, making for four wings total.

Could anyone tell me what in the world this thing is and what it's purpose is?

  • Where can I purchase Rhok Jeans?

I'd love a black pair of Rhok Kevlar Jeans to ride in; however, I literally cannot find anywhere to place and order/purchase them.

    This is the website:

    http://www.rhok.com.au/jeans.htm

I've scoured the page and there is no "Add to Cart" button or anything. I've located one pair elsewhere, but it is minus part of the armor at almost the full cost so that's a no go.

Either I'm blind or there just isn't an option to buy right now. Either way, help?

  • Bios and OS not communicating RAM properly?

I have an Asus G53JW-XN1 Laptop

    The specs are as followed:

    Model: ASUS Notebook G53JW/G53JQ Series

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU Q 740 @ 1.73GHz 1.73 GHz

    Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB

    System type: 64-bit Operating System

    Windows 7 Home Premium

    Service Pack 1

    Windows is activated

I am having an issue getting my OS to recognize and use the installed 16384 MB (16GB) of ram. In the bios it says that I have 16384 MB memory installed; yet, not in the OS to actually be used.

I have installed 4x4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz 204 Pin Corsair sticks (Two in the front, two in the back) to replace the 2x2 GB sticks.

I have called support, searched, reseated the RAM, etc. all to no avail.

A link to the manufacturer's website:

    http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G5...

    My question is:

What needs to be done to make the OS actually see and use the full 16GB of installed RAM?

  • What is the best RAM upgrade for my laptop?

    This is my laptop.

    http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G5...

It is upgrade able to 16GB and came with 4GB (two 2GB sticks). I'm looking to take it to 16GB for no more than ~$200. I'd like to stick around $100-$150 if possible, but I want RAM that will last and preform VERY well for highly intensive gaming and more.

So, DDR3 1333 204 Pin ram is what I need, if I'm not mistaken.

Brands I have been recommended are:

    G Skill

    Corsair

    Kingston

What is the best I can get within my price range and what, if any, would be worth hitting, or exceeding, my ~$200 mark?

  • Best 2012 iPad acessories for my needs?

I recently purchased the newest iPad and am looking to have some MUCH needed accessories handy for it's arrival; but first, here are some details to help with my specific needs.

I have the Otterbox Defender Series Case, the new OtterBox Utility Series Latch as well as a few lightning to thirty pin adapters.

    What I need:

    1. Keyboard - I have no use for the Keyboard Cases seeing as I have a case. That being said, I'm looking for a keyboard that is portable, durable, and not INSANELY expensive (Under $100 if possible).

    2. Speakers - Any kind that have great sound, durability (I've read about a few that do not last long) and a fair price. I do not mind if they require an audio plug or are wireless; however, no batteries is a BIG plus. I will gladly use a wall outlet for power to save on constantly having to buy batteries or recharge. Working well with other iDevices (mainly an iPhone) is a plus!

    3. Stylus - I do not neccisarily require this, but it would be very nice to have for fairly regular use. I have found many that are around or upwards of $40; however, that is WAY too much in my opinion. The others are $5 or less for ten or more which appear to be bad quality. I am attempting to find a happy medium where price and quality are both intact.

    4. Suggestions? - Anything that you would feel should be purchased. I was not planning on purchasing the iPad and haven't fully researched the extra things enough (hence this post). I would love to have any reasoning behind anything you suggest, if possible.

  • Can you check how many Golden Keys you have on Borderlands 2 for PC?

Is there a way to check how many keys you have? I have no idea if I used mine or not seeing as I opened the chest, realized what I did then Alt F4'd out before it saved!

I'd LOVE to have a method to check and see how many I have. Anyone know a way to do so?

  • Questions about a Honda CBR and Ninja ZX?

I'm looking at buying either a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-600R or a 2006 Honda CBR1000rr. The CBR has 13k or so miles on it and the Ninja has about 600. They are both almost the exact price (And go figure, the Ninja is cheaper by a tiny bit), but the difference in power is what I'm concerned with.

I've rode a friend's 06 Ninja 250 for about a year and a half now and know the ins and outs of it, but I'm looking for my own bike to use for gas savings and occasional joy rides (No stunts or speeding).

I'm worried that the differences would be VERY vast and it'd be dangerous to move up to either, especially the CBR. I'm 6'4" and about 250 lbs so the Ninja 250 isn't a very good fit for me (I feel cramped and it's rough on my manly portions).

I plan to do a MASSIVE amount of practice on whichever I end up with to be 100% sure I've got clutch control, low speed turns, braking, and more down so there wouldn't be thought in it while on the actual roads.

Now that you've got my story and what not, here's the questions that are on my mind.

    1. Would there be much of a difference in comfort on either for me as compared to the 250?

I know there are only minor differences in seat heights. I'm sure I'll have a flat foot with either of them while the bike is at a stop, but do either contour more to longer legs/taller riders?

    2. Would the step up to either be so drastic as to put me in a MUCH larger amount of danger even with months of practice daily before entering the road?

I plan to visit a local parking lot daily to practice starting and stopping, as close to perfect clutch control as possible, tight low speed turns (Could do a figure 8 on the 250), and anything else that I can possible get while in a parking lot.

    3. Of the two, if they were evenly priced and you were choosing based on the information I have provided, which would you get?

This a LOT to ask as I'm basically saying "If you were me, which would you get?" Please don't use your bias opinion on this. Just state what you believe would be better suited to an above average height rider with experience on a much lower CC bike.

I'm probably nowhere near phrasing things the way I'd like and if I'm coming off as an inexperienced rider, I'm sorry. I'm concerned on what I'm putting my money into, more so than usual since I'm not going to have the opportunity to sit on either until I'm in person with the money ready. I can, and most certainly will, just walk away if they feel as if they don't suit me well enough.

  • How to repair Sub Cone?

    Hello!

I have a 15" MTX Audio sub woofer with some cosmetic cone damage. I've looked for a while now at the best way to repair it, but haven't really been able to locate anything worth trying even.

The part that is damaged is the plastic (I assume) around the "MTX Audio" logo. One section has about a 2" hole while another has a tiny hole with a few cracks.

I have a few pictures of the cracks/holes; however, I have no idea how to upload them onto here. If you'd like to see the pictures to provide the best possible answers, let me know a way to get them to you.

    Thanks in advanced!

  • What are some good headphones for around $100?

I've had my eye on these Skullcandy G.I. headphones for a while now and have read MANY reviews saying there were the best bang for you buck.

    http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/configable/index/li...

After more research, I came across these saying the same as above; however, they have better bass (Which is good for me since I'm into R&B, Hip-Hop/Rap, and more bass type music).

    http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/index.php/catalogse...

Aside from those and the iBeats, I'm clueless as to which would be good. I would rather not spend more than $100 on headphones, however if the quality is far superior I would be willing to stretch that $100 up a bit.

I would only like to get the over ear type headphones (preferably with noise canceling).

These are intended for college use, workouts, and occasionally airplanes...

Please let me know which headphones you think would best suit me with a fair price/quality.

  • Which headphones look best?

In your opinion, which of these would look best for me?

    http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/configable/index/li...

I am leaning towards the "G.I. Shoe Black" or the "G.I. Black." The "G.I. Black Denim" aren't bad either.

http://www.facebook.com/chase.the.ace06 is what I look like, if that has any effect on your opinion.
