  • I've known him for a while...is there a chance he likes me?

So, I've known this guy for almost a year now and we are super close. We can talk to each other about anything (and we do-its constant communication, texting, spending time together, and yes, "pillow talk" where we end up having 3 hour long conversations before bed) and we tell each other things that we've never told anyone before. There's light flirting and hand holding sometimes in what I think is a friendly way? Also, we buy each other small gifts all the time, for no reason. He invites me to places, and introduced me to his friends early on. We always give each other compliments and cute nicknames and our families and coworkers initially thought we were a couple. All of my friends think that we are being blind and belong together. The thing is, early on into our friendship, I asked him if he like me and he said no, although he seemed rather affected by the question. So are we just really good friends, or might we be more?

  • Algebra 2 math help, hurry please?!?

Which baseball player hit the longest home run and how far it traveled is a matter of debate. There are printed reports of home runs flying out of the park and hitting buildings more than 600 ft from home plate. However, the longest confirmed distance is 502 ft by Cecil Fielder of the Detroit Tigers in 1991.

Let's assume that the baseball traveled in a perfect parabola modeled by f(t) = -16t2 + vit + hi, where t is time in seconds, vi is the initial vertical velocity, and hi is the initial height of the baseball. Let's also assume that Fielder hit the ball 4 ft above home plate and that the ball left the bat with an initial vertical velocity of 70 ft/s. How long after Fielder hit the ball would it have hit the ground behind the left field bleachers? Type your answer in seconds rounded to the nearest tenth of a second, like this: 12.3 seconds

  • Would you ever date/marry a woman with hirsutism?

So, I have mild hirsutism, but it has greatly affected my life. The social norm is to be hairless ( as a women), and I'm not. Hirsutism is "male-pattern hair", usually caused by excessive male androgens. Women with hirsutism may have hair on their cheeks, neck, upper lip, chest, back, or stomach. My question is: if she were pretty, engaging and fun, would you date/marry this women, even though she has hirsutism?

Keep in mind that hirsutism stems from other causes, like PCOS or a tumor.

  • Bad High School transcript, can i get accepted into University?

So, I have an unweighted GPA of 2.63, although that might go down this semester because I got an F. I was a lazy **** freshman year and didn't try. Now im a sophomore and I got As and one B, but an F, too. I'm retaking the class, but Im still worried that I wont be able to pass and not get accepted into a university. So here's my question: do I have a shot at getting accepted into ASU or UCLA or another university, or is community college (and then maybe transferring) my best bet? I've already taken some college classes (foreign language).

  • If I shave for a long time, will the hair grow back thinner?

So, I've been shaving for a couple years now (legs, underarms, etc.) and whenever I get lazy and let it grow, it seems to grow back thinner/sparser than it originally was. Is this possible or am I imagining thing?

I'd appreciate it if you had a source to support your answer! :) thanks!

  • Should I get emancipated?

I know you probably feel like it's a phase, but I really would like to get away from my parents and live independently. They're very domineering and verbally/physically abusive. They're careful not to leave bruises when they do hit me, but sometimes they mess up. I'm constantly in fear that I'm going to do something wrong and end up getting hit. They also restrict what I wear/eat/go, calling me fat and ugly. When I was younger, my dad would try to touch me in inappropriate areas, but it became less frequent once I turned 8. Now I stop him whenever he tries, but he gets mad, telling me I'm a bad daughter and don't love him. However, I am not deprived of anything, and after they fight with me, they usually nice to me for a couple days. Recently, they told me to get out of their house and never come back; I'm seriously considering it. I regularly volunteer, and could 85% sure get a job there if I wanted to. The legal working age here is 14, which is how old I am. I also have a 3.5 GPA, if that means anything. What I'm wondering, though, is whether I should get emancipated, or move in with one of my friends for a while and plan things out, and if I do decide to get emancipated, do you think I would be allowed? Would I "qualify"? Honestly, I just want to leave this place, I have considered running away so many times. What is the best course of action. please help me.

    I wrote a story (lemons, don't judge :p)

I saw that those get a lot of hits so I tried writing one for the first time. anyways, right away I got hits, but then about 3 days later it got taken down! I don't think I've broken any rules, I mean, there are lots of stories like that! so why did they take it down?

  • Can anyone help me identify this book?

I read it a couple years ago- it was a reader's digest condensed book. I don't care if you find the real book or the reader's digest one, but I reaaally want to know what it is! it' been bugging me! I enjoyed it. it was about a girl-it's possible her name started with an A, maybe Anne? Annie? Anyways, it was set in Brooklyn. She falls in love with law student named Carlton. they get married, but they're poor since Carlton's wealthy family decided to cut him off, I think. So they're always trying to make ends meet. "Annie" gets a job working a cashier.. I think there's this one scene where she's too small so the register always bumps against her hips and bruises her. Then there's another scene-the dean of Carlton's school asks Carlton if he doing well, and then he compliments "Annie" but she doesn't know what it means so she has to look it up. I think it ended up meaning desirable asset of something.. Anyways. another scene was they went out to eat at some restaurant and the owner said something about turtle soup, then baby turtles, and Annie was horrified. (I'm just gonna list off bits I remember..:)

-Carlton got in a fight..I think behind the alley of the turtle soup restaurant...with the owner? not sure

-Anne likes this one particular store run by an old man. he lets her feed squirrels with him! also, on Christmas she goes over and gives him a gift plus kisses his cheek. I think she bought jam there once?

-some woman told her she was small or something they were discussing motherhood and pregnancy. The woman had her own son there. I think it was in a store. one of them said something about the little boy getting a splinter in his belly button.

-they move into their own house, renting it from someone. (Annie and Carlton)

-Carlton invites two of his friends over I think or Annie meets them. they were skating? it was winter.

-Annie gets caught listening in on classes at the university (an English class?) and they let her take the class

-a dog sneaks into their home and Annie likes him. I think she calls him Benedict Arnold or traitor when he leaves with some other kids. I dunno if he comes back?

-she becomes pregnant and then when she's at the hospital Carlton gets a little peeved because he thinks she should of talked to him before naming the kid but then she says "I named him carl" & he becomes happy. it was a very cute story I liked it. I would like to read it again, but I don't know the title/author!

sorry for all the writing! please help! and keep in mind her name isn't really Annie! But the guy's name is definitely Carlton. Thank you so much!
