  • What is a "Bin#" restaurant?

There is a local restaurant here called "Bin 303". It's an odd name. But the food is divine! I'm traveling soon, and ran across some OTHER "Bin" restaurants. Do a quick google and there are MORE. These do not appear to be owned by the same people. All have a different # after their name. All seem to be VERY high class and known for their wine. Am I getting warmer?? Can someone please explain the thinking behind the "Bin #" name? Thanks.

My Maytag oven is on Convect Roast. It still has an hour left to roast, but instead of "timer" it is now flashing "Food". Why??

  • Rental cars and infant seats?

  • Do I have to pay to bring my infant's car seat on a plane as carry-on?

I'll be flying on American soon. I have a 6month old who will be on my lap. Do I have to "check" her carseat? And how much dos it usually cost? I know it's free if there is an extra seat on the flight but I won't know until last minute.

  • Should I take my 3 month dd to a MLB game?

The game starts at 3pm. The forecasted high is 88 degrees. I'm pretty sure we will be in the sun. If I take her, do I use sunscreen or dress her in long sleeve white?

  • Have you ever had "butt labor"?

I may be in labor. Today is my due date. I was already at 3cm on Tuesday. I have crampy aches in my lower abdomen but especially in my butt. I already have hemorrhoid trouble, but just like my menstrual cramps the pain radiates in my bottom. Did anyone else feel this?

It's also hard for me to time because it's a constant ache.

  • How do YOU deal with waiting for Labor to come?

I'm 39 weeks and IMPATIENTLY waiting to go into labor.

I usually do puzzles and crosswords because I just go crazy wondering. My nesting instinct is already gone (finished all that stuff weeks ago). I could keep cleaning, but I don't want to wear myself out either. BUT I don't want to be weak and lazy. Just wondering what other moms do/did during those last few weeks of waiting :)

  • Natural Birthers: What is your single most important advice?

Those who have successfully been through natural (unmedicated) childbirth, what is your BEST piece of advice for getting through the labor/birth (especially transition), and/or preparation for the whole blessed event?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Can you have both an OB and a midwife?

I have a GREAT OB....but I just don't need him. I'm low risk, and want a natural birth. Can I hire a midwife, but still keep my OB for any complications? Do OBs usually dump you when you do that?

BTW, I'm already 34 weeks. Is it too late to hire a midwife you think??

  • Toddler swollen eye appears 24 hours later?

My daughter ran into the back of our recliner when she wasn't looking (the hard part of the back). She had a nice red spot next to her eye yesterday. But this morning when she woke up it was swollen. Half of her eye is shut. Why did the swelling not appear for 24 hours? Should I be concerned?

  • Why can't you eat or drink during labor at a hospital?

I just spoke to the nurse manager of L&D at the hospital where I will be attempting a natural birth. And one of the many answers I DIDN'T like was no food or drink is allowed. Only ice chips. And sometimes the doctor will consent to a few sips of water...but the anesthesiologists don't like a tummy full of water.

I know...I know...because there is a SLIGHT chance you might need general anesthesia...and there's a CHANCE that under general anesthesia you will aspirate...........really? That's the ONLY reason?? Like a 1 in 1,000 chance??

What about all of the other papers I have to sign releasing the hospital of liability for the NUMEROUS risks of dozens of other possible interventions? They don't seem to care about that!

Yes I'm frustrated...just one of many obstacles I'm not looking forward to in a few weeks :( Good luck to me if it's a REALLY long labor and I have ZERO strength to push my baby out :( :( :(

Any other words of reason out there?

  • How do you have a natural birth in a hospital?

I am 33 weeks preg. with #4. But I just decided to try this one naturally (I've had 3 epidurals in the past). But I am still going to the hospital. I need all the advice I can get on ways to help me overcome the challenges one faces giving birth in a hospital setting if one chooses to go natural.

    Thanks.

  • Monistat suppository help?

I can't get my suppository to stay in! What am I doing wrong? After so many attempts, it's all melty and just won't work!! I'm so frustrated. It's day 2 of 3. Should I try putting the last one in the fridge to make it harder? And will this treatment even work without this dose??

  • Have you tried bedwetting tablets?

Has anyone tried the Hyland's bedwetting tablets? If so, how long did your child take them and when they stopped, did they stay dry?

My son is about to turn 5 and is never dry at night...even if he doesn't drink in the evenings. He's also a very deep sleeper, and we can't even get him up at night to go. I'm going to bring it up again at his next doctor visit, but I bought these tablets today to try.

  • Should I keep the nickname and ditch the full name?

We call our unborn daughter "Josie" all the time.

But her full name is supposed to be Josephine.

Should I just keep the Josie and ditch the Josephine altogether?

    Yes/No?

    Thank You

  • How do you get urine out of a couch cushion?

There is urine in my couch (from my daughter). The cushion cannot be removed, so air drying outside is out of the question. I tried scrubbing: woolite carpet cleaner, 50/50 vinegar and water, and Febreeze antimicrobial. Hasn't helped at all!
