I got a 2g tank for my dads bday and i got him yesterday, the betta is constantly attacking his reflection and is reluctant to leave that side of the tank and explore, he barely eats and gets a little tired sometimes.

I put pieces of paper up all around the tank but that seems to amplify the reflection so i took them off.

I know he will get stressed and tired and stuff, so how do i fix it?

I want to get 5 Pictus catfish and 1 oscar for my extremely heavily filtered tank, i am not so worried aobut aggression because oscars aren't that aggressive, what im worried about is the oscar having a go at eating one of the catfish, getting it stuck in his throat and him choking himself and the catfish.

so any advice?

I want some active somewhat small fish to keep the oscar up and moving, i will get the barbs before the oscar so the oscar doesnt see them as food also they will all be babies ( except for the barbs )

If those wont work, what other active, colorful med. sized fish will keep the oscar up?

I want to get an oscar.

Don't tell me about tank size because i have a 57g with two not one but two aquaclear 110 ( can handle a 220g tank ) thats a total 1000GPH, that flips the tank over almost 19 times an hour.

I want a tank with odd fish, fish that make people go wow, here's my new and improved ( not yet finalised ):

1 Oscar

1 Synodontis ( specific species not yet varified )

1 Red tailed shark

1 Green Terror

If i have to replace the GT, what would be a good replacement, i like fish like:

Jaguar cichlid

Covict cichlid

Firemouth Meeki cichlid

Bala sharks

So i like oscars again

So i got my 55g fish tank with a ton of stuff heater, air pumps, gravel, rocks, egg crate, ph buffers, mineral buffers, stress coat, food and stuff, BTW the filters will be enough to handle a 220g tank, now is that filtration or WHAT?? that flips the tank over 18-19 times an hour!!

So this is my list that has been carefully reviewed several times, still not final so expect to see quite a few changes :S

1 Cactus Pleco

2 Red finned Tinfoil barbs ( only get half the size of the original one )

1 Green Terror

I think that is fairly stocked, the guy at the store told me to get 4 tinfoil barbs with the rest of that list but instead i reduced it by two so that there will be more moving space.

The equipment:

2X 200W Stealth Heaters

2X Hagen Aqua clear 110 ( 500gph )

Fluorescent lighting (not sure of the wattage or the make )

1 Air pump

Do you think those fish will get on?

Will live crickets help the oscar and green terror grow faster and bigger?

I stopped by a petsmart today for a spell to get an estimate on how much i will be spending on various essentials to get my 55g goin' ( gravel, heater, filter and such )

I plan on getting 12 cichlids, 3 of each species mostly. heres my list:

3X Auratus Cichlids ( how many males/females? )

3X Yellow lab Cichlids ( above )

3X Acei Cichlids ( above )

3X Powder Blue Cichlids ( above )

Their diet will consist of: Hikari cichlid pellets ( different version everytime bag runs out )

frozen blood worms( 1-2 times a month )

freeze dried blood worms ( bi-weekly )

Freeze dried krill ( weekly )

Freeze dried brine shrimp ( weekly )

Crickets ( only 2-3 times a month )

Zuchini/cucumbers ( weekly )

Equipment:

200 watt Marineland stealth heater ( up to 55g )

Marineland bio-wheel power filter 350 ( up to 75g )

Topfin air pump XP-125 ( up to 125g, big fish, lots of them, they need lots of air )

I have been doing pushups, situps, crunchs, jogging, light weightlifting (10-15lbs) for the last 4 weeks and want to know how much weight is too much for my age, i dont think i have had my growth spurt yet, my foot size is 11 (US) 46 (EU).

I am going to keep on with 10-15lbs up to 20-25, is that alright?

Also, I know it is important to space the working out properly, some say every other day, every day and so on so your muscles can repair so that you can get stronger, if you do weights one day and the next day you try again and they are not sore, is it alright to lift weights again?

She is the best dog ever, so peaceful and playful and very healthy, although i need to give her the best care possible to let her live longer.

She is about 70-80lbs and is labrador/border collie mix.

I give her purina dog food and normal tap water.

Should i give her drinking water instead of tap water?

She is not very fit, she can only jog for about 10-15 minutes non-stop and i take her one everyday walks ( just started today )
