Robert a Jehovah's Witness
I'm a Jehovah's Witness, first contacted in 1973 by J.W's, after many years studying to ensure I had ''the truth'' and bringing my life in line with Bible teachings and standards was baptised in 1985 as was my wife. My wife and I have regularly Aux pioneered together and still do all we can to teach what the Bible realy teaches, we feel there's no greater privilege than serving Jehovah as one of his Witnesses and having a close relationship with him. We will help all who want to know and understand the Bible and make use of all opertunities that open to us.
Is helping disabled parents classed as employment?
A friend helped his disabled parents move furniture and pack goods ready for a decent homes program being carried out. He was still fulfilling his job search requirement and was not paid any money, but he told the job centre what he would be doing; they stopped his J.S.A and classed him as getting paid the minimum wage for the time he helped his parents as they are ''not a charity'' and what he did was classified as being ''in paid employment''. Can this really be right? Does this mean that unemployed persons can't help their elderly and or disabled parents without being penalised? Note that ALL the J.S.A requirements were still fulfilled and had a job become available this would have been taken up.

The younger partner does not reach retirement age till 2020, is unable to work. Do they keep their pension credit, or do they have to live on a single persons state retirement pension for five years as well as losing the passported benefits currently being received?
This is something that will affect many due to changes in the welfare system.
1 AnswerCredit9 years agoare vets pricey, what do you think?
We took a pet duck to our local vet as it looked lifeless, he examined it and said it was dead; we asked if it might be in a deep coma, he told us to wait a moment, went out and fetched in a Labrador, put it on the table and it sniffed our duck all over, shook its head no; we asked him to try again so he went out brought in his cat and it did the same as the labrador; we were upset then annoyed, he charged us £150; when we asked why, he said if we had listened to him it would only have cost us £10, but as we had a ''lab'' report and a ''cat'' scan it cost more.

3 AnswersBirds9 years agoCan one do without heart and diabetes medicine?
People will soon lose free prescriptions due to government cuts and won't be able to pay for them.
Will it be possible to do without any heart, stroke, diabetes and more seriously cancer medicines and not suffer serious or potentially fatal consequences? I'm sure many would like to know. Or are the sick being condemned to suffer and die? it seems that way.

4 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoDo you think it right to attack groups on this site?
Or do you think it better to ask why different groups such as Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses and others believe what they do, so as to gain knowledge and understanding, even if you don't agree with them? Or do you enjoy mocking and belittling them?
Isn't this site for the purpose of gaining knowledge?
