I posted a question a gaming PC a short while and had lots of great responses, so thanks everybody.

The overwhelming opinion (amongst a friend and online) seems to be to build my own, but I'm too scared to do so. There is a local business that says it will build any custom gaming PC you want, which is great news.

For a price range of around £600 to £750, which components would you guys recommend, I had previously looked at parts before and had seen this list recommended, I looked at the prices of parts on Amazon, it worked out around my range.

Processor : Intel I5 3570k - £175

Motherboard : Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 - £101

Ram : G-Skill Ripjaws 8Gb 1600 MHZ – £41

Graphics : XFX AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB GDDR5 - £162

Power Supply: Corsair builder Series 600 Watt – £57.50

CPU Cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan (RR-212E-20PK-R2) – £30.50

I was wondering how well this PC would cope for gaming. It has 8GB of RAM and AMD Radeon HD 8470 graphics card.

Would I be better with 12 GB of RAM? I'm looking to play all the top games on it.

I've decided to bite the bullet and save for a gaming PC. I already have a top end HDMI TV and am now wondering which are the best steps to take.

I'm looking to save around £600 to around £1000 and I see everywhere that you get your money's worth more by building your own.

Just bought a new laptop and I am considering going into more PC gaming. I normally just play Football Manager and Civ 5 off of Steam and they run fine.

The laptop is a HP Pavilion g6 with Intel Core i3. It has a Intel HD Graphics 4000 card, and I intend to be playing any games with it (Skyrim, Mount and Blade, the new GRID, Farcry 3, Borderlands 2 etc.)

Any recommendations as to what else to use? I have an Xbox 360 controller and will be buying a gaming mouse should it run games well enough. If anyone has any recommendations and an answer to the original question I would greatly appreciate it, thank you.

Me and a friend are getting the train from Leeds to manchester for morrissey's gig on saturday, we need to get train tickets and need to know when to get return tickets for, the doors open at 6pm, what do you reckon? We don't want to buy ones for 22:40 and end up coming out of the arena at 21:30 that's all.

I'm 16 year olds and have aspirations in becoming an author in mainly historical fiction and epic fantasy novels, I have tried writing many a time but I can never make something stick. So I was wondering if anyone who has had success in this field could help me answer a few questions.

What writing style is best?

How do you come up with a protagonist, villain or secondary characters? Is there a way to make this easier?

How do you know if your idea is original or has been done before?

What is the best way to plan and plot a story?

How many major twists should the novel include?

Is it best to write sagas or just a single standing novel?

Would I be better off writing a novella to start with?

Any tips for a beginner, aspiring writer would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time. x

Can anyone recommend any good novels similar to the films which I appreciate are all different, but I'm intrigued by the time period and the idea of the Gods and all the war and battles and such, so any good novels based around them would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Just curious whether I'd be denied entry, not sure whether it means 16 and over are allowed or 16 and under not. Probably a stupid question but just want to make sure before my dad buys my tickets.

I went to redeem my 3 months live gold code on my xbox on dashboard and it said there was a problem try again later, so I went onto xbox.co.uk and did it and it activated, and now it is saying I'm gold on xbox.co.uk but not on my xbox, but on dashboard when I go to manage account -- memberships it tells me my current membership is 3 months prepaid gold from 24/01/10 to 24/04/10, yet it says on the main dashboard I'm silver, won't let me make or join partys or go online etc., this is really annoying the fact it's actually took my code I paid for and is saying I'm still silver. Any suggestions/help please?
