  • Are you a former JW but now a devout Christian?

Is there anyone out there who was born and raised a Jehovah's Witness - who was an honest, faithful member, well into their adult life - but left the church and is now a devout Christian? I need to talk to you about something. Please message me.

  • Did anyone else catch Obama taking practically all the credit?

...when, in truth, the credit should go to our military as well as our current and previous administrations. It's not like Obama was the first president to go after Bin Laden, it just happened that Obama was president when Bin Laden was killed. I just found it interesting.

  • I have an honest question for Catholics.?

I ask with no malice intent, nor with holding any backlash at what you might say.

When do you say a Hail Mary? What does saying Hail Mary's do?

Is it for forgiveness? Repentence? Penance?

    Thanks.

  • Mormons I have a question for you?

Not trying to be rude or cruel, just an honest question. I know the word of wisdom says not to have hot drinks but of all the mormon's I know (including me before I converted to Christianity) they all drink hot chocolate. Why is it that hot chocolate isn't against the rules?

  • What happens to us in the end if Christianity wrong?

If Christianity is right...then those who don't believe in Christ go to Hell, which is bad. I'm asking the other religions, atheists, etc., what happens if I'm wrong and I die? What is the motivation to believe as you do?

    Serious answers please.

  • Mormons (LDS), please help me understand...?

I was reading my Bible the other day and I came across a passage that I was hoping you could explain to me. It is when the Sadducees are trying to entrap Jesus by asking Him tons of questions, and they asked him if a woman was married to one man, then he died, then she married his brother, then he died, and so on 5 more times, and when she dies who will she belong to? Which husband will be hers? This was His reply:

    Matthew 22:29-31

29Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

I checked around and also found this similar passage

    Mark 12:24, 25

24And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? 25For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

    And one more...

    Luke 20:34, 35

34And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: 35But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 36Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

I know you believe in eternal marriages and I was just hoping for clarification?

  • Should Vick play in the NFL?

I say yes. First off, if the NFL Boss says your good to come back, then he's good to come back. But more importantly, Vick did the crime and served his time.

My wife on the other hand says that he should never comeback because he's no longer a role model for children, he's a convicted felon (no other felon's get a second chance at a high profile, high paying job), he should not represent America, and playing is a privilege which he ruined.

    What say ye?

  • Anyone else think it was awesome..?

To see a beautiful young woman defend her beliefs even though she knew it could cost her the Miss USA pageant?

    I say bravo to her!

  • Evolution and the increase of information?

Evolution is an increase in information. If we all 'evolved' from single celled organisms, then that means through mutations and abnormalities the genetic information was increased. However this has never been documented, witnessed, or even recreated. Since it has never been proven why do some people believe it?

To further explain my point, take a long haired dog for instance. Say that this long haired dog has babies with the same type of dog and (since it has all the genetic information "Ll X Ll" ) some of the babies have short, some have long, and some have medium length hair. Now suppose a hot summer comes along and kills the long and medium lenthed dogs, leaving the short hairs. It would be impossible for these dogs to reproduce any long or medium because the information was lost when the others (with the genetic information) died. These short hairs have the recessive genes for hair, and can not possibly get these dominant traits back.

To go from a single cell to a multicellular organism must mean there is an increase of data. Adaptions can occur, but that is not evolution (progressive DNA changes) but simply nature. A dog cannot become a cat, nor can a monkey become a human no matter the length of time because the information is not there. Mutations, adaptions, etc are not increases but losses.

How then can you say evolution works? The answer is it doesn't. God made all the animals and they have reproduced "after their own kind." Science would like you to believe that the Bible is just a bunch of stories with no fact. I merely pointed out a few scientific facts that are in the bible. Want to read more...open a bible up and read the truth for yourself.

  • When was the Creationism VS Evolution debate solved?

I keep hearing that this debate was solved. There are still loop holes that I haven't heard explained, excerpts from Darwin's book that says if certain things are found to be true or untrue Evolution is wrong, etc. I was just wondering when it officially went into the books as evolution being the victor?

  • Evolution VS Creation?

Why is it so hard to accept creation as a valid theory. That is all evolution is. There is evidence (loop hole ridden, but evidence none the less) that we came from nothing. There is also evidence (biased and some say also loop hole ridden, but evidence none the less) that God created everything. Why can't these two THEORIES be accepted.

I believe in Creationism, but I do accept that evolution is a theory. Evolution has not been proven, no matter what you say, just as creationism can not be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. The reason for this is because no one was there when it happened. All we can do is look at the evidence, and come up with our own conclusions.

I am just asking for equality. Some say creationism pushes religion in schools, I say it's a theory that is supported through evidence and should be taught because it is viable, just as some say evolution is. And by the way, evolution is also a religious idea.

I will give the best answer to the best answer, regardless of whether or not I agree with you. I love debating, so if you have a good, sound argument, I will acknowledge it.

    Thank you.

  • Anti-creationists I have a question for you.?

Why do you persist is saying that creationism has no scientific proof, when there clearly is?
