  • What is the penalty for mountain biking on illegal trails?

I do a lot of biking on hiking only trails, and I live in an area with a high concentration of park rangers (Mt. Tamalpais, Ca.) Although I have never been stopped by one, I have heard countless stories about being caught. These vary from about hefty fines and permanent confiscation of a bike, to a small fine and a lecture. I was wondering if someone could clarify what the actual punishment is, thanks.

  • Is it illegal to bring this to school?

Is it illegal to bring a plastic bag of baking soda labeled "meth" to school? I am doing it only for fun (a joke), and have no intent to actually sell narcotics. I know that the teachers would get mad if they found it, but is there anything they could punish me for other than being a distraction?

    Thanks.

  • Out of the blue depression?

I remember when I was younger (spring of fifth grade) I became severely depressed. Neither me nor my parents could find any reason for it, yet it got so bad I had to stay home from school because I simply didn't have the willpower to get out of bed. I remember thinking it was because the seasons were changing, but in the back of my mind I always thought that was an illogical reason. After a few weeks, it completely disappeared, and I was exactly as I was before. Does anyone know what/how this happened? I am a little curious, and I haven't found any other cases of it online. 10 points awarded to the best answer.

  • Is my homemade gun legal?

I was pretty bored this summer, so I decided to make my own firearm. It uses a gunpowder charge, and fires a 6mm aluminium BB fast enough to penetrate both sides of an empty food can (most likely powerful enough to pierce skin, but I do not intend to confirm it). The charges are obtained legally, in the form of pulling fireworks. http://www.fakecrap.com/products/pulling_trick.htm...

i found these weird symbols that when you search them on google, they extend out of the general text input box. I'm not sure if the same effect will happen here, but ill try anyway. Could anybody tell me what exactly it is?
