can anyone tell me why my friend always seems to need some thing to occupy her hands, or to look at ( like the computer screen or a letter) when she is talking to me, but not with other people ??

quite often she will doodle, or pick up a pen & fiddle with it, or stroke her lap-top, or a variation on the theme.

it almost seems to be a first reaction that if i start a conversation with her, she will reach for her pen as soon as i open my mouth to speak.

any ideas for alternatives to sandwiches for taking to work for lunch ?

ideally things that do not require re-heating, and are healthy, low fat and sustaining.

in a society that supposedly works toward equal opportunities for all, regardless of race, gender etc.,

will we ever actually achieve "true" equality??

will we see the day when a woman can work in a male dominated profession without prejudice,

or a man walk down the street in 4" heels , without fear of ridicule ??

will we always need to take care who we tell about our sexual preference?

if we are to become a truly equal society what do we have to do ??

how do we overcome the taboos that ppl still apply to society that ensure the status quo remains ??

i am selective who i tell , & find women (usually) are more comfortable with knowing i dress. what do you find?

want to make a cake for a friend at work, 'cos she usually bakes the cakes for everyone. big problem is that i do not have an oven in my rented flat,only a hob & microwave. also can't use nuts or chocolate because of allergies.thought that a lemon "pound" type cake , simply iced & filled with lemon curd would be ideal, but unsure about timings , do i need to cover the batter in the microwave, & do i need extra liquid in the mix. microwave is 800 w & the cake needs to serve 8
