  • Manual transmission in Grand Cherokee?

OK, I have a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.2L(318) V8 engine and WANT a manual 5 speed transmission. I already know what transmission I believe I will use, it is the New Venture NV3550 but I am not sure about pedals and transfer case to be used. I know that in the 93 model years those Grand Cherokees had a standard AX15 transmission but for the 4.0L engine, not strong enough to handle the torque from the engine even if it did bolt up. So I figure pedals can go in but what ones? I can't find Grand Cherokee pedals anywhere and was wondering if regular Cherokee pedals would work? Also, what transfer case would I need?

I have been searching around for months on the internet and can't find any info on this tranny swap. So, this is all out of my own head. I know the transmission will work against the engine, unsure where to get bellhousing from though and also unsure about the computer and speed sensor, will a different computer be needed or special sensor for me to have a speedometer?

My automatic is coming out plus I do a lot of playing around with my Jeep in mud and stuff. The NV3550 will be a stronger transmission for what I do with the Jeep.

I am sure somebody out there can help me out with the pedals and transfer case I will need to use.

  • X-Fi Xtremegamer and Vista x64 problems?

I built my own computer about a month ago and all was going just fine till recently. A few people recommend I download Creative Audio Launcher to get better sounds from my soundcard. I did and every since then my music when played fades in and out or I should say volume up and down while the songs are playing. This is making for a very unpleasent time listening to any music. I tried uninstalling and just do as I originally had the drivers which included the Creative Audio Console and downloaded Alchemy for gaming surrond sound. I know it isn't my speakers, I tried a set known to be in perfectly good working order as well. I tried Creative's site(support & forums with no help) Hoping someody here will have a good answer. games and other sounds also sound great, it is just music. It down't matter which media player is used, Windows media Player or Itunes is all I use and like(till now anyway).

  • I have a kitten with allergies and want some home and herbal remedies that may help.?

I actually have 4 kittens now, one died Christmas Eve. Thing is I had them to the local vet and he said he didn't see nothing wrong with them just gave them some worming med. 2 of the kittens are real healthy but the other 2 are kid of sickly. I know they have some kind of sinus allergy I just have no idea what to. Sure it can be numerous things but right now I am worried that the 1 kitten may develop pneumonia cause her eyes are really watery and she is breathing poorly through her nose, no sign of it being in her lungs YET. Some home remedies for humans I know will not work for kittens but the vet I did call said if she sounds like any wheezing has developed in her lungs to just use my sons amoxilcillin and gave me the measuement I should give after telling him how many Mg it was. He some some home remedies are not all bad such as a vaporizor and warm baths to help keep her sinus's moist. Any other ideas to help that do not involve medicne that isn't prescribed and can harm her?

  • Friend has a Compaq Presario 2105US(I know it is OLD) and the BIOS is passworded. He does not know what it is.

Ok, I did some very estensive searching and I am wondering how many will help me without giving me the same old answer of remove the battery. It DOES NOT WORK with this laptop. He had taken it apart and removed the CMOS battery for a whole day and was of no success. These have some kind of sercurity chips to hold the password and can not be just gotten around by removing the battery, the whole chip needs replaced if the password can not be found out. So I am wondering if anyone can help us on this problem or know of some software that might be able to find it or remove it. I heard reflashing the BIOS will set it but I can not find a BIOS update that worls unless that is also a part of the sercurity chip feature that will not let a person flash the BIOS if a password is enabled? Maybe someone might know also where to get a working BIOS update?

Thanks for any that CAN help.

  • Trouble code 52 on Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.2L?

Ok, I have a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the engine light came on yesterday. I tested it using a OBD scan tool that I have and it gives me the trouble code #52. Using the included software and Haynes manual it says "Oxygen sensor signal input indicates rich air/fuel ratio condition during engine operation." Question is, what are the possible causes that would be triggering this code. I have done extensive searching on the internet with no help. I also did testing using a digital multimeter on the MAP sensor, the Air Charge Temperature sensor, and the Throttle Position sensor(TPS) and all were within limits EXCEPT the TPS. It was off just a fraction in the voltage allowed but that should send it's own signal, shouldn't it? I have not checked the O2 sensor yet but will, that is suppsed to throw it's own signal too I thought.

  • How to tracking down bad vehicle ground?

I have a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited factory trailer I am having problems with the lights. I am sure it is in the ground wire but don't know how to track down the bad ground. I have done all test with a digital multimeter and all appears to be ok. The Vehicle Information Center has a "Rear Lamp Failure" message and all bulbs are good. All bulbs are getting the corret voltage as they should be but do not know where the ground wires lead back to. I also have the correct bulbs installed. According to wire diagram they all lead back to one main ground. I am trying to find this main ground and test it but do not know how to go about testing it once I find it. Only 2 thoughts come to my head why the VIC would have the RLF message, either the VIC is bad which I tested wires going to it and they are good as well or bad ground causing the amps/volts to drop which in turn would cause the VIC to have the RLF message. Still need to find out how to test the ground once it is found?
