  • 2000 cavalier jumps timing?

I have a 2000 z24 cavalier with the 2.4. My friend was changing the valve cover gasket and saw that the timing was 180 degrees off timing so he tried to fix it. He followed the directions and did everything by the book and when he put it all back together it drove great until he hit about 40-45 mph when it made noise and he parked it. when he pulled it back apart the timing haf jumped again.

He checked the teeth on the gears, none missing. The chain is not loose. What could cause this? It drove before he fixed the timing it just had no power and now it won't even drive much, any ideas?

And one more thing: if we proceed to try and fix this can there be any consequences that we should know about? I read somewhere that fixing the timing could cause the car to stop running all together, that doesn't make sense to me.

THANK YOU!!!! And if you're not sure well than thanks anyway for atleast reading my question.

  • Cause of sensitivity in the backside of lower teeth?

My lower teeth since I can remember have been incredibly sensitive on the backside. Not always, it generally happens when I over exert myself. When I jog is when it gets the worst, even without pushing myself or becoming winded they start throbbing as if they are going to explode. I've tried chewing gum, using Oracle, drinking water (both cold and hot) holding water in my mouth while running, keeping my mouth open, keeping it shut. Nothing works.

The dentist doesn't understand what the pain is. He says my teeth are perfectly fine as well as my gums, no erosion nothing. He tells me to go to a doctor. I explain the problem to my doctor an they send me back to a dentist confused. No one can tell me what the problem is or any way to cure it. I enjoy jogging and it makes it close to impossible with how extreme the pain gets.

  • Get out of my father's house by running away or anything else without risking getting brought back/in trouble?

I am 16 years old and I live in Alaska. My parents are divorced. My mother has more custody rights then my father but they have joint legal. My mother lives in Wasilla and my father lives in Valdez. Valdez is a smaller safer town and is where I grew up. I have friends there and that is where I want to live, the problem is that I can't handle living with my father.

My mother wants me to be happy and she knows this town is a much better place then the larger area she is located. My father is just terrible. He threatens to throw me out and he has done so but he thought if he threw me out I would go back to Wasilla, when he found out I was staying with a friend he called the police and told them that I was a runaway. I was 15 when that happened and I have heard from a few people that at 16 all the police can do if you are a run away is let your parents know where you are if you're in a safe place. My mother is willing to help to find a way to stay with someone else. We have found someone who is willing to take me in the problem is that my father will not allow me to leave. I need to find some way to leave his house and not risk getting taken back or getting into any trouble.

My mother has the main custody but with her being in a different town it means little. She has given the permission for me to stay somewhere else but with him fighting it I don't know how to accomplish this. He has told me that he doesn't want me here, he sais and calls me awful things, but he has strait out told me and proven that if I try and leave here and do not go back to Wasilla then he will cause as many problems for me as he can, he has stated that he will repeatedly report me as a runnaway and he has also stated that he will sign me over to the state and then my mother will have to fight to get me back. I am pretty possitive that he could not do that with them having joint legal but he will have me reported and brought back.

Please I need help, whether it's running away or something else, I just need to find a way to stay in Valdez without issues from my father. My mother is willing to help, I just need to get out of here. I will be staying with someone responsible and I am in school and searching for a job. I am a responsible person witch is why my mother is allowing me to be here, She said if I can not find a way to stay somewhere else by the end of summer I will have to go back there to wasilla because she feels like a terrible parent letting me be in this situation with a father like mine.

  • Problem solving using linear equations?

You planted a 16-inch hemlock tree that grows at a rate of 4 inches per year. Then 5 years later you planted a 10-inch blue spruce that grows at a rate of 6 inches per year. In how many years after you planted the hemlock tree will the two trees be the same height? How tall will the trees be?

It seems like a simple problem but I don't understand how you make this a linear system?

  • Explain this law, it has to do with sexual offense of a minor?

"(2) being 18 years of age or older, the offender engages in sexual contact with a person who is 16 or 17 years of age and at least three years younger than the offender, and the offender occupies a position of authority in relation to the victim."

Does that mean that as long as the the supposed offender is not an authorative figure and there is consent from the 16-17 year old that it is legal for them to commit to sexual activities with one another no matter the age of the "offender"

  • In the state of Alaska does a 16 year old need parental consent to date someone over 18?

I've been searching for this one answer all day but everything I look at just says that a 16 year old can legally consent to sex with an 18+ person.

Nothing states whether or not parental consent is needed.

I don't want to know if they can have sex I just want to know if they can be together without having to worry about any legal issues.

  • Things to do when you can't be seen together?

The guy I'm dating is older and legally we aren't supposed to be doing anything. To make things worse he got into some trouble and so legally we're not even supposed to hang out and he's not aloud to be around me or he will go to jail for a long time.

We live in a small town where everyone knows everyone and there is really nothing to do.

Got any ideas of things that we could do?

  • What kind of spider is this?

It has a large orange butt with white spots. It's legs are yellow and grey striped.

I found it in Alaska and I've never seen one here before. I think a tourist brought it up on there car or in their luggage.

  • He's "shutting down"?

It started out with him always texting me starting with a good morning, then while I was at work and we would fall asleep texting. If I didn't say anything back he would say something more. He would tell me all the time that he always thought of me and always wanted to be with me. We would hang out for hours everyday and when I had to go he never wanted me to. That all changed and he said it's because he's shutting down.

He's at a point where even if he wanted to care about anything he just doesn't. I think it has a lot to do with the last to people he was with. He got into a huge argument with one and deleted her number and they no longer talk at all. The other is obsessed with him and is texting him 24/7 witch wouldn't bother me so much if he still text me occasionally, instead I text him and he replies with one word answeres if he even sais anything at all. This obsessor is pregnant and swears up and down it's his. He swears it's not because he found out that while they were "seeing" eachother she was also screwing atleast 2 other guys. She tells him she loves him and wants nothing but him and is always being dramatic and never stops.

Now I don't see him as much. Didn't even see him yesterday and only saw him for a little while the day before. I tried to talk to him about shutting me out and he told me that I should fight to stay in. I don't know how to though when everything that I might say has already been said to him by his obsessor. He said I should know he cares. It's hard though.

I love him and don't want to lose him but don't know how to get him to show me he cares again. It's killing me and I don't know how long I can handle it. Please tell me how I can get back to how it was. Or at least make it better so he's not shutting me out.

We haven't been together for very long yet and I'm still at the stage where I'm worried I'm going to lose him and this doesn't help it just makes it worse, I need some serious advice.

"I like girls, all kinds of girls, I like girls who like other girls."

those are the only lines that I can remember

  • How do you wheely a dirt bike?

The only way I know how to get the front tire off the ground is by full throttling it on either 1st or 2nd gear.

    It's a Manual.

  • My dirtbike won't start?

    It's a Yamaha YZ85 and it's only a couple years old.

I cahnged the spark plugs, turned the fuel on, gassed and oiled it, cleaned the filter, and it won't fire up!!!

I know how to ride but when it comes to the mechanics (I'm learning) butt I'm close to blind with it.

I put it into the connex at the end of summer last year and it had no problem starting, so I have no idea what the problem could be.
