  • Seriously though...is it really that big of a deal that China is showing superiority at the Olympics?

Why is media portraying China as a serious contender for America greatness and what it has accomplished. Its true that China has upstaged USA in an international venue like the Olympics by winning the most Gold medals and has had a great economic boost in the recent years but aren't they still behind in civil rights, religious tolerance, freedom of speech and racial integration? Isn't that part of whats needed to become the most powerful, most stable, and moderately well diverse nation in the World?

  • Do you think we are oblivious to the immoral society that we live in?

Through out history all great empires came to collapse when they faced internal decay either spiritually or morally. Today’s America is different then the glory days of the 50’s. We have lost all sense of religion, under minded the value of live and created a large gap between the upper and lower class. We have allowed modern day slavery with lower then minimum wage salaries for illegal immigrants, let the ill die untreated due to lack of insurance and have robbed our future of good education. Today the world outside detests our moral behavior and questions our integrity.

Question: Do you think we are oblivious to the immoral society that we live in?

  • America leading in tolerance and equality...

Today’s American society is going through an incredible phase. The dream of equality and the promise of freedom is becoming a reality for all races and genders. For the last 300 years America has exemplified the definition of equality and our society had self reflected internally to take strides such as the abolition of slavery and equal rights for all women and all races. We have integrated our school, workplaces and sports. We stand for that one true virtue of equality and have set presidents throughout history for the rest of the world to follow.

Creating such an incredibly diverse society living in adequate harmony didn’t come easy. From the horrible practice of slavery to the terrible discrimination in our history, Americans have had to learn the lesson of tolerance through time. In small yet crucial steps, our nation is prevailing and it couldn’t be more evident then the most recent campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for the highest office in the nation. This incredible and historic episode of a black man and a woman campaigning to lead the most powerful nation in the world solidifies our progression towards our belief. The absolute belief that all men and women are created equal and its this belief that keeps the hope alive in our hearts, in our minds and in our future.

My question…Why has America made larger strides towards tolerance and integration compared with other westernized nations?

  • Men and women and how they are becoming one in the same....

After coming across an article on MSN.com about how men feel about their physique, it was clear that this is yet another sign of our changing societies. Over the last 20 year it has become more evident that men and women are becoming one...meaning...the gender gap is shrinking not only at the workplace but also in our personalities and actions. In this changing environment, the wisdom of equality and the necessity for a two income family has introduced women to many new fronts once conquered only by men. We see more women in all walks of life leading to interactions between the two genders on a daily basis and causing an evolution of their characteristics unfamiliar to most.

The induction of women in the workforce has changed their image in recent years. Today, women are CEO's, soldiers, activists, revolutionaries, liberators, and have set a permanent foot print in the world as equals. They are a far outcry from the Lucy Ricardo’s of the 50’s and have higher ambitions then what furniture to buy and more curiosity then the mundane gossip that surrounds them. Being part of the workforce, women have adapted to the quicker lifestyle in this ‘mans world’ and made strides in the highly competitive environments. With the woman’s perspective at hand, our society has become an engine on full throttle speeding ahead and leaving no one behind but this change in woman’s life is affecting their counterparts.

To say that men have moved on from the simple IBM days of white shirts and black pants would be an understatement. Men today have acquired the more “metro” attires complete with colored shirts with nicely matched patterned ties and all types of new stylish hair that puts the good ‘ol buzz in distant memory. But it isn’t just the fashion that’s changing; it’s the plucked eye brows, manicures, facials and fitted shirts are more apparent as well. The notion of women around has made men to be more self-aware and in some cases more self conscience.

My question is for women…the new self reliant and strong women! How do you see today’s man?
