Can I get a mortgage with only $13,000 in savings?

from what I understand when you get pre qualified for a mortgage it's only good for about 3 months. What if i don't find a home within that time? Will it hurt my credit if I have to get pre qualified again? I really need to get pre qualified just to see where I stand and what I can afford.

When someone is asked about something they don't care about, sometimes they will utter the phrase, "I could care less".
But by saying "could", doesn't that imply that they do care about in at least a little bit. Because they are saying that there is still room left for them not to care.
Shouldn't they be saying, "I couldn't care less". By saying "couldn't", it says that they care so little about something, that it would be impossible for them to care any less.
