I just find this as an interesting topic as I would be stumped myself.

I'm currently running Linux Mint 15 on thi laptop but I want to install my copy of Windows 7 onto a virtual machine to help test programs I develop and for general compatability issues with some programs I need for school. However when I try and make the virtual hard drive (fixed drive, not scable), it simply doesn't progress. It stays stuck on 0%. The drive file is created, but has no size and is unusable.

I tried using the scable drives however it seems that they can't be used anyway since copying any files to them never makes any progress.

Okay, So I keep a fair amount of stuff on my computer, mostly videos and copies of DVDs I own. I have a 1TB hard drive, and roughly 400G left, however I'm going to be switching computers in the future, and it has significantly less space. So, I'm looking for an external hardrive with plenty of space to store a fair amount of video, probably around 2TB. I'm hoping for one that uses USB to transfer files and goes for under $150. Any recommendations?

Okay, so I recently got a 4th generation ipod touch and downloaded a few apps on my computer from Itunes. I'm wondering how do I install them onto it? Apparently you have to have a connection with the ipod, but I don't have a way to get a connection to the internet on it, I'm on broadband internet cards. is there any way to do this or am I screwed?

I heard a song a long time ago (couple years) on a video and lost in in getting my new computer.

The lyrics I remember would be

"and now, it's time, to break out of this place that you don't know, this world you don't..."

It was on a video for a video game, so it was a faster song, kind of like rock or something in genre, like I said, it's been over a year since I last heard it.

There was a music video for it on youtube, something about a girl in a mental hospital or something of the sort, best I can remember.

Me and my grandmother were rummaging through some old stuff her father gave her and we found some Civil War Military Discharge Papers from 1866. Although they're quite old, they're in fairly good shape.

If anyone has any information about them, then could you please tell me? I'd love to know more about them.

Okay, so I went on a tip to house-sit for my aunt, I took my internet card (The Verizon air card) with me so I could use my laptop. I shut my computer down before I left. I come back, start it up, update coverage information etc, and now no online videos will play.

For example, YouTube videos don't 'autoplay' when I open up the page, and when I click play, it simply says error loading, please report. No, it's not a connection problem ,nor is it YouTube, because no video from any site will play, it just goes to a black screen.

I've tried clearing firefox's history, cookies, and cache, didn't work. I'm guessing, with what little knowledge I have of this, it's a problem with my flash player, but I don't know.

Also, I'm using firefox 12

Any help?

I've used eclipse IDE on this computer before, but I decided to delete it after I lost interest in Java for a bit. I now want to continue my study in Java, however I'm getting an error when running it.

I've tried Updating to the latest JDK, uninstalling and reinstalling Java, however nothing worked.

The error is

"Failed to load the shared JNI Library "C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.7.0_02/bin/.../jre/bin/server/jvm.dll"

I have no clue as to why it's giving me this as I've used eclipse before, however have never had this problem.

Ok, so I've been playing free for a week or so on Xbox live in black ops, then my friend made an account so we could split-screen. We playing fine yesterday, but now my account can't join? Whenever I try and join it just says;

"this account is not allowed to play on Xbox live"

But my friend can play fine.

He is using a trial gold membership

Ok, so recently my forums have been spammed by another communities spam-bot (because there's is a newer one and they want more members). I was wondering if I could get into any trouble (besides getting Ip-banned) for posting profane pictures on their forums?
