It sounds ridiculous to me, I don't know how people can actually believe anything the bible sais. It's like believing that everything in the Harry Potter books is true.

I've wondered if religious people truly believe in the bible or if they are just playing along even though deep down they know it's all made up. Maybe people just go to church because they think it's a peaceful place to be. And they enjoy sharing stories from the bible because it is fun and they enjoy them, kind of like folktales.

Is there anyone out there who is religious, but you don't actually believe all of the nonsense in the bible?

Imagine that you have a son in high school and one day you walked into his room and found child porn on his computer.

How would you react to this? What kind of emotions would you feel? What would you tell him? What would you do yo him?

Would you turn him over to the police for possession of child porn? Would you expose him to the rest of the family or keep this a secret?

Note: He is in high school and he lives with you, so kicking him out of the house may not be an option.
